Funny thing about Ultrabooks is that they tend to end up having similar specifications for a given price, give or take.

MacBook Airs don't have Retina Display xD
133 PPI is still the second highest PPI they have for portable Macs, though.

Although I'd say a decent gaming Alienware would be just as good, you're right - those Apple trackpads just can't be beat. Is it the Retina Display screen? :3

Have you ever tried out the other laptops in person?
As it turns out, specification sheets aren't everything. Sometimes, you have to use, look, and hold the system yourself. I blame the screen and trackpad.
Besides, since a MacBook Air's equivalent are Ultrabooks, you'd looking at at least $700 anyway.

Why did you buy a Macbook Air if you were just going to install windows 7? 'Cos you could've gotten easily yourself a 512GB SSD, 3.0GHz+ Core i7, 8GB of RAM, and a darn sexy GPU in a non-Apple laptop for a lot less than a MBA..
