May 30th, 2013 12:34 PMSir BastianNah, go for it. As long as it's not red hair, since your guy has that, I'm all for whatever you might find!
May 30th, 2013 12:25 PMNebulaThose ages (21 and 24) work for me, I am all for it!
I would be glad to help you out. Do you have any specific hair/eye color or shall I just look for a knightly kind of guy?
May 30th, 2013 12:18 PMSir BastianHmh, well, young is definitely alright by me, but nineteen might be a bit too young. I could easily be three years older, but I also think we should be a bit older. So maybe... you'd be 21 and I'd be 24? Can go with whatever you want, though!
Also, I can't find a decent picture for my knight-guy <_< Think you can give me a hand? I'm no good with finding pictures. I was thinking of having him have light to no armor and only use a one-handed sword, for mobility.
May 30th, 2013 11:45 AMNebulaHaha, indeed so! I am sure Cyrus will be greatful to have a powerful dragon type and its capable partner watching his back, as will the King. xD
I wanted him a wee bit on the younger side, so I was thinking about nineteen? What were you thinking for your character? Because I am definitely flexible if that doesn't fit into what you were thinking.
May 30th, 2013 11:26 AMSir BastianAh, I get it now. Sounds like we've got ourselves a plan! And yeah, the Druddigon makes sense because it's so powerful, and... well, only the most powerful beings to protect the most important people, right? How old are you going to make the prince? I don't wanna do like, a 10-years of difference in age xD
May 30th, 2013 11:15 AMNebulaAwesome! Sounds like a plan. :3
I like that idea, how they weren't professional or the like up until then. It could make for some interested character plot devices. I was thinking of having his birth mother die, and Queen Claire is the woman his father remarried too so that the kingdom wasn't left without a Queen. That is, if I can clear it with Swift first.
I think a Druddigon would be a nice touch! If you are worried about the amount of power it has, then you could probably just give it something like being stubborn when given orders, or something of the like. I don't think it will be a problem though.
May 30th, 2013 10:53 AMSir BastianOoer, you have some pretty cool ideas there. I think I'm gonna go for a male character, and yeah, say that his family's been serving the crown for a couple generations. I was thinking of doing that anyway xP
I think we should go with them having known each other since they were children, but aside from playing around and knowing each other, they wouldn't have had much of a 'professional' relationship up until he withdrew from politics and whatnot, at which point the king/queen decided to give him a... protector, I think we could call it? Also, his mother died? I thought his mother would've been Queen Claire? Or did I miss something?
Oh, and as for his Pokémon, I was thinking of letting him have a Druddigon. Might be a bit... powerful, but I'unno, what do you think?
May 30th, 2013 10:03 AMNebulaYes, it seems sensible indeed. Would your guy/lass have a family history of serving the crown? If so then the two characters could possibly have known each other since a young age, and they would be familiar with each others traits, or perhaps see a different side of their friend on this journey. If your character was a guy I could definitely see something bordering on a brotherly relationship with the complications of their roles as Prince and Protector. Then again, a girl character could work very much the same. Or we could go the route of them not knowing much about each other and discovering just exactly who they other person is over the course of the journey. It's up too you!
I was thinking of making my character (Cyrus) someone who was incredibly loyal and invested in his Kingdom, and preformed his Princely duties whenever necessary, but after his mother died he withdrew into himself and shied away from politics and his peoples' problems. The only people he allowed to let in was his father, the King, and--if we went this route--your character.
What do you think? See anything that can work out? Have any ideas? :D
(Btw, if you want you can call me Miles. Sovereign is a bit of a typing horror lol.)
May 29th, 2013 08:40 PMSir BastianWell, as I said, since according to the story, you, the Prince, is going to be chosen as the realm's defender against the mad king, and it only seems sensible that the prince would have a protector of some kind with him.
I think... hmh. I think it'd be best if they do know each other and at least are on friendly/respectful terms. I'm thinking of making my guy extremely loyal to the crown, and he would, basically, lay down his life for the prince if told to. I'm also not sure whether to make a guy or a girl, since both could work very well. Again, let me know what you think and if you had any ideas! :D
May 29th, 2013 05:18 PMNebulaWhy hello friend, it's a pleasure to meet you!
I would love to coordinate our characters and their stories, I think that would be a lot of fun if we are accepted. It could lead to a lot of character development and ideas for the future. I am all for it if that is what you would like! Would you see our characters being long time friends, bickering rivals, unsure of one another, just met, or the like? :3
