They and I were interacting, so we each post in turn. Then you initiated an interaction with my character, so I reacted while reacting to the other player. Then you acted again, without waiting for their reaction to your interjection.
ok I think I get what you are saying, but I don't think the other RPer's character had noticed Raizer, so I didn't include her. What Raizer did was hit and run. the other person is still there and you guys can continue. To be perfectly honest I don't think the other person realized Raizer and Linc have met before, so this happening out of no where seems about right.
but just fo the sake of clarity mind explaining this again? I'm not sure why I should be waiting for anyone in this situation.
Well, okay. But can you wait for the other roleplayer next time? I don't want Manda's player to feel bunnied or left behind, since I need to wait for her to respond to Linc before Linc can respond to your Quilava's attack. It just confuses the order a little.
Linc isn't the only one who takes things the wrong way. You remember that dragonair I mentioned before? Razier attacked it for absolutely no reason other then he wanted a battle to get Issac to focus on what they were working on. He attacked a freaking senior trainer's dragonair just to make Issac pay attention.
ok. I was just worried since I wasn't trying to annoy the last guy, and yet that happened soouly because of what Isaac said aparently. anyway I guess it will be alright then. I'll just keep on going and figure out a couple mroe things to do with Isaac's day.
Thanks for the advice on the levelling up, I'd figured that stuff would get done at the end of the IC day, but I suppose it's easy to have several battles per day and lose track of what levels you're due.
And don't worry about how Linc took things. Isaac didn't know it was Linc's first battle, and Linc is a bit of a sore loser. He's read too much into what Isaac said because he's bummed out - not because Isaac was actually rude. Once he calms down he'll see it in a different light.
ok I wasn't even trying to be condescending IRL. Isaac just went ahead and said that he's no where near the best. The only way he made himself sound better is that he is good with combo's. I wasn't going for an insult at all. I was trying to make that offer about showing Linc some tricks. You can go ahead and keep going the way you are, but I'd much rather we try and figure out a better way. I'd even be happy to edit what I said to make it come across right. I already screwed up with a different student and well one arch-enemy/rival/person annoyed by me is enough.
also make sure to do you level ups and stuff. Fall behind on those and oh boy it sucks.
Well of course. A Shuckle using almost any attacks without using something like Power Split first isn't going to do an awful lot of damage, because its stats are so skewed towards defense. I don't expect that moves mean wins. I don't even especially want wins, Lincoln's development as a character is important whether he wins or loses.
You are making it hard not to argue, but my combo moves are proof of my point. its all about the trainer and pokemon. I don't have any real problem with you having those moves so long as you realize they are still based on your own pokemon's stats and your use of them.
I could counter that with the point that through combo moves you create your own, and I was fine with that. Besides, I'm not powergaming, since you can hopefully see I've been perfectly reasonable in our battle.
If it makes you feel any better, I have several personal rules imposed on Lincoln that restrict him. He has no money, so he can't afford anymore TM's. He also has no empty pokeballs, and again, no money to purchase them, so he can't catch anymore pokemon. I have conditions for when his dad may give him money, and those conditions are based around Linc's success academically and/or as a trainer.
It's like what you said about combo moves and not going too far in one direction. I have given Linc some "plus" points with his pokemon moves, and made up for them with "minus" points in that he doesn't have access to a lot of the same things other people at the academy will. Hopefully you see that as fair, but if not, I'm sorry you feel that way and hope it won't effect your ability to RP with me and enjoy it.
