Yeah a lot of times that's true. And I don't see why you would limit your options when you're so young, unless you know it's something you love doing. Just doing something for money seems silly, unfulfilling, and...lame. And yes it WAS ridiculous. We "learned" about principles and stuff to live our lives by, and watched cheesy movies. I wish it had just been study hall :/ And no, haha my parents would never make me take a class. It was the school who forced a random selection of kids to take it.
Oh, i just doodle as class goes on. It helps me to concentrate sometimes, because otherwise I'd be bored out of my mind. At least that's the excuse I use, and the teachers don't really care. Chem takes up two so we can do labs. Meh, I don't think french is that much easier. C'est tres difficile, mais il est pas mal. (hopefully all that french is right! I'm not great at French so...)
Oof, you have a ton lab reports? I think I had like 3 of those over the year. Those things were horrible. And yeah I did proofs. I enjoyed them though, they were pretty easy/fun because they were easy or you had to use a lot of logic. Hm, maybe I actually like geometry. Lol. I'm presuming you're learning about triangles and doing SAS and AAA etc?
Funny thing is, when people get goals like that, they have no actual idea about the kind of education and grades they'll need to get into such fields they're aiming for.
Half a year? That's a bit ridiculous don't you think aha? Did your parents make you go in that class?
I wish I had more time in class to doodle stuff, it's mostly at home since I have to actually focus on what my teachers are trying to teach lol. We have about 6 periods, 7 seems like a lot, geez. And chemistry takes up two of those, wat
I wish I had taken French instead of Spanish tbh, I heard French is easier and more fun from the people at my school. My hatred for Spanish is just... afgeighkegbk
Yeah, we're doing Bio right now and it's enjoyable, actually. Only thing I could do without is the constant lab reports we're assigned.
Did you ever have to do proofs? Yeah, it's things like that that make me just want to leave the classroom
Lol my bad
Yeah really. I know people who say they want to be an anesthesiologist and an actuary?! I mean sure it makes money, but it sounds boring and terrible. My dad went to law school TO figure out what he wanted to do lol. Ugh you're lucky it was one day. Half a year, and no switching out :(((
I doodle all the time in class, but that's about it. And they tend to be rushed or random or bad so. I have 7 periods, and so i have english, math, history, chemistry which is 2 blocks, french and band. Well I also have health, but it's too confusing to explain how that fits in so...
I miss Biology. Give me glycolysis and NADPH+ over moles any day. Though the labs are fun, and I like knowing all the elements, actually.
Yeah, geometry was pretty bad, but that's just because it was the same thing over and over every day :( (for us at least)
14 and a half. Picky. :I
Honestly, a lot of people your age and mine only /think/ they know what they'll be doing for a lifetime. Even in college, more than half of students who enter into a profession change their mind anyways. My father did that when he went into accounting.
Aha yeah, we had something similar to that. Except it was an entire day (Opportunities day or whatever). Really, college is something you should leave out of your mind until probably Junior/Senior year.
Art is something that you need to keep up. I force myself to doodle things every day lol. I got sidetracked a long time ago and it sucked :C
Too full a schedule? What kind of stuff are you doing, lol?
Oh yeah, I probably have Chemistry next year or something. Lol lucky me...
Idk bro, Math is pretty bad aha, especially Geometry
Your only 14? Hm, no. You're too talented for that to be true. Ugh, isn't it weird how people already know where they want to go? I don't even know what I want to do, and I'm in tenth grade. Last year when I was 14, (although most people were 15, I'm young) some of the teachers were super annoying about college. I even was forced to take this class that was supposed to "prepare me." (terrible and stupid class, but that's another story) :((( Although I should probably start figuring that out, since I've started to get college mail! :O
You definitely should! I have...some. But idk, I'm not great at shading, and seem to go from being good to terrible, so I'm pretty inconsistent. I think I do better when I have an assignment, but I can't take art class due to too full a schedule.
Hm, my algebra II has been helpful in chemistry, but who needs chemistry?! Although to be honest, the stuff I'm learning this year seems more useful than in past years. And don't worry about Math, Chemistry is MUCH MUCH worse. :(
Thanks a lot XD haha. I would totally finish it if that alone hadn't taken me a few hours X_X I need to work on it a little day by day... and stop doodling other little stuff aha
I'm 14. No college yet :l It's funny because, a lot of the kids at my school think they already know where they want to go for college and everything. And half of them want to be doctors...
I actually saw the section earlier and thought about it, but meh, maybe once I finish more stuff I'll post my pkm things. Do you have any artistic talent? :'D
Who needs school, pfft... not like much past 8th grade comes in handy anyways aha. *cough* MATH SUCKS *cough*
OMG THAT IS AWESOME! Hurry up and finish drawing it RIGHT NOW, it's awesome! My jaw literally dropped when I saw your creature lol. Is this a college art course you have to do this for? Also, you should make your own gallery thread in Art And Design, as this is super crazy amazing!
And lol I try that too. Sometimes it works, but most of the time I just go back to sleep :/
We are supposed to draw a spiritual creature of some sort, and we had to associate it with a symbol we were assigned with. I got the Ying-yang symbol, so this is what I have so far> http://i48.tinypic.com/2j0y3bd.png
I feel you haha. But I also end up going to bed and setting my alarm at like 4 or 5 AM with a "meh, I'll just sleep a bit and then wake up and do it" attitude :I
IT NEVER WORKS
