Aww, that sucks. :( If I hadn't gotten my 3DS I'd be mooching off my roommate's too but I wouldn't be able to play until after he'd finished KH3D so I'd still be waiting my turn, haha. u_u It'd drive me crazy, I bet.
(Sorry for the late reply. I uh... was too lazy to reply to VMs and then they started stacking up and it got overwhelming. XD)
I... only liked Hoenn for Flannery, Steven and the music. The Pokemon and the region, etc were pretty awful in my opinion, so yeah. :c
Definitely. Speaking of development, the stories have also progressively gotten better. I mean, in the first gen, the basic plot was '10-year-old trainer starting his journey, encounters Team Rocket, goes through some drama with them across the region, the end' but it never really delved deeper into anything. Whereas now, you have story pieces involving Gym Leaders, other NPC and things like that to make it much better, and with characters like N and Ghetsis, the 5th Gen games were all that much better. ~
Well, I liked his attitude. He gets points for that. XD; Honestly the only electric gym leader I never really liked or got attached to was Wattson. But I think that's mostly because I didn't really play much Gen 3 since I hated Hoenn. :P
The recent games do have more character development. I definitely agree with you there. With the old games, you got a few lines of text and character design and that was about it. Now there's a lot more to go on so it's easier to find characters relatable and likeable. :3
