January 2nd, 2013 05:17 AMLilizukiI was going to Google for a quote about moderation, but I couldn't find the one I vaguely remembered. The point was; it seems like most good things stay short.
The hull laid beaten, like it was Sol's fallen wife and Neptune weren't around to protect it. Silence clambered across the surface, knocking on the metal for a gullet to crawl down, while I set up the fireworks. The Highwayman rumbled, the ground-moon sung as its door was found, and screeches struck from the tree titans that surrounded us. There was only a beating heart to break the moment, while SIlence struggled to get the gears grinding and I lit the crucifixes. "What are they?" Silence yelled through the tin hull. "Vampires." I hollered back, finishing off the circle of Guy Fawkes sentinels while a colorful band came into view, sitting on the crown of a pallid skull. "Mexican vampires."
Yesss~ I need to get his most recent album, but Artificial Heart has some excellent stuff on it, as well as his Thing A Week songs. He can be remarkably poignant, while still hilarious. ♥
January 1st, 2013 04:23 PMClaire*No, I wish I could speak it. I don't mind a gazillion chapters if it's good. :D
*eats a handful of popcorn*
Of course I have! I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive after all. I'm a huge cynic by nature I think. If something is too good to believe, it ALWAYS is. xD
December 31st, 2012 04:29 PMLilizukiDo you speak Japanese, too? It's frustrating when you ask somebody for a good manga, and then they recommend one that has a gazillion chapters.ಠ_ಠ
Tripping across the desert went as well have could been expected; the Squire on our trail and the Americas goodbye did little to quell the confines of our habits. Silence's fingers brushed along the Highwayman's wheel, but touches wouldn't change its destination, and we crawled across the border without any push strong enough. The militant moosemen didn't give us trouble; even passed us three pounds o' crisco along the way. Silence threw it to the boot with a "Useful later", and we were outside the ground-moon before it landed.
I know that feel. I've become a massive cynic over the last two years, but there're still things to love. :3 Like Jonathan Coulton (Please tell me you've heard of him d: )
December 31st, 2012 02:46 PMClaire*Aww, I see. I read some manga too. Haven't found one that has really grabbed me lately.
Hmm.... I'd be interested in seeing how long you can go. :D
Yeah, a lot of new songs are awkwardly paced. Back in the day, they had songs you could dance to. *shakes cane* Grumble, only 21 and already complaining, grumble. I love that song. <3
December 31st, 2012 01:55 PMLilizukiI read manga more than I read anime...but even then, most of them are frustratingly untranslated.
I can keep doing this for a long time, you know. d:
It's kind of hard to dance to modern sad songs, isn't it? Trouble by Ray LaMontagne is a nice, slow song to dance to, though. :3
(Also, I accidentally posted this to my own page. Derp.)
December 31st, 2012 01:39 PMClaire*No, I've never watched it with subtitles. Only thing I use subtitles for is anime. Even then, it's only once and a while.
*whispers to imaginary theatre neighbor* "The plot thickens..."
:3 I am really shy when it comes to that kind of stuff. A lot of blushing and bad eye contact... I dance whenever I feel like it too...as long as it's fast... xD
December 31st, 2012 01:21 PMLilizukiHave you ever watched it with the subtitles on? The Sir Robin song goes on a bit in them before it stops on the screen, and it's delightfully cruel. :v
So we waited beneath the pulse of the harsh sunny mistress, taunting is with the heat we'd soon be missing. Then he came, Eduardo Esquire, his thick brown hide covered in crimson ichor and his uglies bumped; he was dead on the horizon before we could beat feet, but he had 'em in his antlers; two robes of ebony and ivory, the habit for a nun brought from a Vegas walker. "Thanks, you unlucky sonuva..." Silence muttered to the mortal moose, throwing me the habits and traipsing back to the Highwayman. "C'mon. Canada's waiting."
Awww, there's that shyness again. :3 I just dance whenever I feel like it, y'know? But, I was once attacked by a set of bookshelves, so maybe I'm not the best example. d:
December 31st, 2012 01:07 PMClaire*"Help, help I'm being repressed!" I love that movie too.
I have not. I can dance fast, choreographed dance just fine. With somebody else, pssh. It's a nightmare. Maybe I'm just nervous because who I'm dancing with? IDK. :\
December 31st, 2012 01:04 PMLilizukiFancy some buttered scones for tea? My favorite movie of theirs has to be the Holy Grail, for obvious reasons. d:
It began on a dusty highway, southwest of Las Vegas and just outside Primm. We were waiting against the Highwayman, coats discarded someplace across the Strip and baring skin to the harsh scrape of the desert wind. "When's it getting here?" I asked, my patience worn down from the banditos whose corpses rested amongst the giant, firebreathing ants. Silence spoke her name, still sore from the smashed tooth brought by the squire's bullet. "...soon."
Have you ever been to a dance class?
December 31st, 2012 12:53 PMClaire*I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay. I sleep all night and I work all day. *whistle*
My intrest is growing by the moment... You could always just blame your partner.
I forgot the janitor. Three people! Woot! Yeah, I'm a much better dancer. I'm a terrible slow dancer, however. I'm always stepping on the guys' feet...
