Haha, I don't think I've seen anyone get banned around these parts. The sheriffs in town must do a rooten tootin good job. Then again, I don't really go anywhere outside the RP corner. Maybe I'm just not exposed to the real insanity that is Pokecommunity.
You've never watched Star Trek? Like, ever?! Can't fault you for that, I'm more scifi than fantasy actually. Some people still can't believe I've never read/seen Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter.
Don't let the other geeks hear you say that; you'll scare them. I like only having geeky stuff on the internet, though; sometimes it can get way too tiring and you just want to cool your brain a bit. Which is when you break out the alcohol. :v
Haha, been there. I was kind of always a nerd, but my friends that I made never got into a lot of the stuff I came to like; or they quickly stopped caring. Of course, it helps that I have interests beyond the typical nerdy things I'm into. It is what it is.
The change is interesting, that's for certain. As long as people respect the wishes of other players, I think I'll adjust well.
Heheh, well I've never played at an actual tabletop because I'm the sole geek in my circle. " But I'd be willing to introduce a few people here to one of the simpler rules system, once people get used to me.
Haha, passing out would not be good. I'm on the verge of doing that myself
I've never heard of it, but I'm not surprised that our lack of rules here could be jarring. It's more like free form writing really, with mixed authors. I've never actually played a real "tabletop" game. Probably one of those things I should do eventually...
I'll check them out when I'm not about to pass out.
Most of the time on Giant in the Playground, which is why the lack of rules here is quite jarring for me. If you haven't heard of it, most of the games on there use the rules of Tabletop Games, such as Dungeons & Dragons or The World of Darkness.
