Well that and i've heard Bass' tuned to a higher note before so they blend into the sound of the guitars.
The job of a Bass is to hold up the low end, but I just wish that more bands would feature it more. :/
You could really screw with people and play "Hallowed Be Thy Name" on Guitar.
Then "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" on Keyboard. XD
(Side note: in this case chilly would be Chili)
Yeah, these guys certainly are an inspiration to me as well, another guy who's great with a Bass is Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy bassist) the world needs more Bass players. :l
When it comes to the Bass though you don't always know if it's there, but you always know if it's not.
I think it just depends on the player.
And besides...if "most bassists" are playing with their index and middle finger (they are) that just gives me all the more reason to use my thumb, and set myself apart from the crowd! :D
I always forget how amazing that one is.
Well, still his 5th is pretty good too! (You should totally play chopsticks. xD)
Haha,if I were you I wouldn't set in my mind that it'll take me five years to learn that.
It just depends on how much heart you put into it,I decided that i'd learn a song in the first week and I did (granted i've already started getting calluses, but not the point...) you just need to give it all you got and you'll do exceptionally. :D
I want to shed a bit more of a spotlight on the Bass.
The Guitar is really cool. It's maybe one of the most iconic Instruments out there.
It's had some really amazing people play it, Robert Johnson for example.
But what about Bass Guitars? That my friend is what I want to achieve on a Bass.
On a side note... Is this the same Alex that was telling me that Three Days Grace was to soft for his liking? xD
Haha, listening to his stuff you wouldn't really guess that. xD
If by hard you mean it's murdering my fingers then yes! :D
I'm trying to learn to use a pick since it has a different sound then using fingers, but it's not quite going well. `xD
I use my thumb for struming. :D
How's the keyboard coming?
How many times have you played chopsticks? Does knowing how to play Guitar make it easier? (Already being used to move your fingers quickly)
I'm more of a Rocker, whilst as you seem to be more of a Metal Head, that might be what's causing me to like them and you be like )'-') meh.
When I listen to Metal it's usually Heavy Metal, and on occasion,Death Metal.
Despite myself i've yet to investigate a few genres,Rap,Power Metal,Techno,Disco...a few others but those are the ones I keep avoiding for some reason.
You got any good Power Metal bands for me?
