Hullo!! How are you doing? :D
Your personal cheerleader had to take a break from the Internet but I'm back. I hope you're doing well!

Hey! It went fine, our PM is satisfied with the outcome, he was able to make new connections and actually have some people write articles about our product. Though he hasn't shown us any of those articles, hehe, so he may be exaggerating as usual.
We have a few interns now that we're slowly introducing to the project. I'll be working closely with two of them, one will pick up on a feature I've investigated a few months ago, the other will work on a brand new feature that he's been investigating last week. They seem interested in learning new stuff, which is great, and they're always asking questions. It's a really nice feeling to be able to answer those questions, considering I've been in their shoes only two years ago.
That's pretty much it. I'll be going on a short trip to the seaside in a couple of weeks, can't wait!
Hope everything's fine with you, how are you?

Hope you're doing well! How did everything go at work?
July 25th, 2013 10:16 AMMiau
I don't know, I've never cleaned anything like that either. Maybe I should get a new watch anyway, I've had that one for a long time now, hmm.
Ugh, I've been lazying around all day, though I did do laundry and do the dishes. We just had dinner, I made some chicken with broccoli, mushrooms and a sour cream sauce. I love broccoli ♥
How about you? How's your week?
July 25th, 2013 8:54 AMXolace
Yea, I've actually heard of people trying to clean silver with toothpaste. I felt a bit skeptical about it though so when my silver needs cleaning I usually just take it to a shop. They charge 15 for my bundle.
How are you enjoying your weekend so far? :O
July 25th, 2013 6:43 AMMiau
Hehe, thanks! I can't remember how much I paid for it, I do remember my friends thought it was too expensive, but I really liked it. Apparently I can use toothpaste to clean it.
July 25th, 2013 5:06 AMXolace
Yea, thats actually my favorite of the two. I only ever take them off when I sleep and shower. That's a super adorable watch!!! How much did that cost you? I'm sorry to hear about it though. It's perfect for Spring and Summer!
Things are much better now. She finally got a really nice job that she's comfortable with. She's been a lot less grumpy and more playful too. She seems to be back to her old self.

Oh I like your rings, especially the one with the musical symbols! I used to wear a watch I bought from Venice a few years ago, but the strap got ripped, so I stopped using it, and now the silver part got damaged. I wonder if I can still fix it and make it look like it used to. Here's what my watch looks like by the way: http://www.glassofvenice.com/images/A_WA033D06_22.jpg
I hope everything goes well for her then, make sure to be there for her

I'm about the same. I typically only wear plain colored tank tops since I dislike heat. On cold days I only add a flannel. As for accessories I wear a watch, and two rings. I've had both for as long as I can remember!
Its funny how time passes by so quickly and we don't even realize it. Me and my girlfriend try not to spend too much but I felt she deserved something really nice this year. She's been through a lot and things are finally starting to look up.
Yes!!! I bet you would look awesome with white hair a d golden eyes. Hehe. I say you go for a mermaid theme this time around! Zombie mermaid!!!!
July 25th, 2013 3:32 AMMiau
My boyfriend never wears jewelry. Or any accessories actually, well, he does wear a watch, and also sunglasses in the winter. If he goes shopping alone, he'll always come with plain colored shirts, he always thinks that any print is way over the top, no matter how simple it actually is.
Yeah, I think rent is expensive no matter where you live. We've been living here for a year now. Hey, now that I think about it, July 15th was our 1 year anniversary in this place, I didn't even realize it... And to be honest, we don't give each other gifts that often, for our anniversary this year we've only gone out for dinner in a fancy place.
What, you mean white hair and golden eyes? Haha, no way! I've never made any avatars based on my appearance, and I only ever make them for site events. I've had that one since Easter actually. Apparently, there's a cosplay event now there, but I can't decide what to do. I last year I did the Headless Horseman, and the year before Snow White

That's good to hear. I hope I can find a friendly place like that once I start looking for a real job. My coworkers now are great though. They're all around my age and we all play XBOX together.
My girlfriend does something similar. I very rarely buy myself earrings because I can never find a pair that I feel are "manly" if that makes any sense. When I finally do find a pair I'm comfortable with my girlfriend always borrows them. Forever.
You are quite lucky then. To have a place like that must be nice. It's nearly impossible to afford a place on minimum wage here in Hollywood. Rent is 1,000 and up. Minimum wage wouldn't even cover that if you lived alone. :T
I should make my girlfriend something on Photoshop when I finally get a useable computer. Running PS on a NetBook wouldn't really be ideal. I really miss making signatures on PS. It was one of my distractions back when I had troubles at home. You and your boyfriend seem awesome though. I think its adorable that you guys make each other gifts like that. I need to start being more creative too!
Is this how Miau looks in real life? :o
July 25th, 2013 2:47 AMMiau
Yeah, our PM really is something else, especially considering he's been stressed out himself with everything that's been going on lately. I guess I've found quite a great place to work, even if it isn't a big company, the people there are really nice and understanding.
Hehe, I always tell my boyfriend that I'll buy him earrings for him, and if he doesn't like them, he can give them to me instead
And I don't know, considering the minimum wage in my country is actually less than my rent, it's not that cheap. I'll admit we were lucky though, because our place really looks great and we have everything we need, the only downside is that the closest metro station is 15 minutes away.
Hehe, glad you liked it. And go for it, I'm sure she'd be really surprised. It doesn't need to be on the computer anyway, my boyfriend once made me a pop up card, it had a cat and mouse pop up on each side, and they were holding a string that had "happy birthday" hung on it, with each individual letter cut out. It was so cuuuute ♥
You mean on subeta? No, I'm Miau there too, hehe.
July 25th, 2013 1:23 AMXolace
That's great news!!! I'm glad it all worked out for you. Hopefully you get a well deserved break after all your hardwork. It's nice to see your PM was understanding. More often than not they tend to have you do the work regardless. ;_;
I have to admit I loved this necklace the moment I saw it! I almost bought it for myself instead. Hehe. :3 She however has a nice pair of pearl earrings that suit the necklace wonderfully though, so I figured I'd let her have it instead. Your rent is remarkably cheap by the way. Mine is nearly 1,000 dollars. x.o
That is the most adorable thing I have ever seen!!!! Oh my gosh I'm so envious! I wish I could do things like that for my girlfriend. I'm sure she would absolutely love it! Perhaps I'll take a crack at learning how. Who knows, I may end up loving computer work. :3
Also, is Mooncat you? :o
My girlfriend painted the nails on one of my hands while I was asleep. She claimed she was "bored". I curse my deep sleep. Fortunately I always sleep on one of my hands or I may have had both painted. Hehe. She made me go out with them to buy the remover since we were at my place. I was surprised that people complimented them. I figured I'd get awkward stares instead. I took a picture if you want to see.
I hope you're enjoying your weekend!!!

It's the weekeeeeend!!
So I somehow managed to convince our PM that there's not much we can do right now, since we're all very tired and we'll end scrapping the code we write now afterwards anyway. It worked, plus there won't be much time to show off our app to each person who visits our stand at the exhibition, so we focused on the UI and settled on a (much shorter) presentation on the features that work well. So yay, weekend!
Oh, that necklace is really pretty! And expensive, I can pay our rent for two months with that money, hehe. The 20's style is really feminine and delicate, with the pretty pearly jewelry, and cute hats and handbags, and Mary Jane shoes. I haven't read the Great Gatsby yet, though I got it as a gift from my roommate a couple of years ago.
Okay then, my turn. For our 4th anniversary last year, I made him this: http://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=908710. It's a petpage on a petsite I used to play a lot back in the day, not so much right now. I coded it and wrote the text, the five icons at the top are actually buttons to change the text, and the keepsakes thing at the bottom opens a treasure chest when you hover over it. I tried to make it interactive. Anyway, I'm not usually that cheesy, but I though it was cute doing something like that for a change.

Oh wow. That's terrible. Are they scrapping it all together? I'm sorry Miau. The weekend will be here before you know it! With any luck you'll finish sooner than expected.
I got my girlfriend this necklace. It's inspired by the Great Gatsby which we're both big fans of.
I'm really interested to see what you made your boyfriend. Maybe it can give me some ideas to be a little more creative next time an event comes around. :D
I hope you're doing well Miau. I'm really sorry to hear about your project.
