Oh, got to go. Nevermind.

Oh, I've already got a Larvitar, so if you have any spare whatevers, I'll trade for those.
I still have 15min, so if you want to do it now, your Shinx and Ralts are ready

Heh, sorry. I was busy this morning. I haven't had time to breed the larvitar yet. Sorry! How 'bout tomorrow, or whenever works for you.

I've got your pokemon, so please vm or pm me when you're ready to trade.

Sure, I can give you one, but I guess it'd be easier if you catch one yourself. You know, Litwick's ability is flame body, and they're very common... at least in black, which is what I play.
If there are no Litwick in your game, please give me your time zone and FC and I can get one for you.
One question, can you trade your pokemon from Gen IV to V? I mean, do you have 2 DS to do that?
If you don't, you can use the Litwick for now and I can give you a Magby or a Slugma next week (Which is when I plan finishing Black and be able to transfer, I use my nephew's old DS for that... he now has a 3DS while I have a lite...)
Anyways, let me know.
Also, do you have Gothita? I bred some with perfect natures (calm and modest) if you want one. You'd be the first one to get one since they're not up on my trade thread yet.

I've got Gen V. Thank you in advance!

Sorry for the late reply, I was away yesterday but.. sure! The title of Pokemon Breeder doesn't come for free.
Do you want it for Gen IV or V?
November 28th, 2012 6:40 PMOrangeNess
You wouldn't happen to have an extra Magma Armor pokemon on you, would you?
November 28th, 2012 6:16 PMPink Mommy
Oh! Then that would be easier. You just need either parent to have the same gender.
Next step would be the Egg moves. You should check Bulbapedia to see which poke can breed with which and give them interesting moves, one good example are my Shinx with Elemental Fangs. They have all of them so they're near unbeatable. All pokemon I breed are specifically bred to be champions, unfortunately most people who adopt them only want them as dex fillers ):
Anyways! If the parent knows a TM or HM that the baby can breed, the baby will inherith that too....
Let's see... I think that's all. See? It's not THAT complicated (:
Oh, just one more thing! You need a pokemon with either a Flame Body or Magma Armor ability, that cuts the number of steps you have to take to hatch the egg into half. Please be aware that this ability is NOT added up, so if you have two with Magma Armor in you party, the steps will still be cut into HALF and not into a FOURTH

I'm playing White 2, but have some Gen. 4 games.
November 28th, 2012 9:01 AMPink Mommy
Hmmm... you're probably not there anymore, so I'm going to risk it
Anyways, you need a FEMALE with the right nature as I told you (supposing you have gen IV... it also works in Gen III... just letting you know!).
Now, I know getting that female is near IMPOSSIBLE! You can go check my trade thread if you want, I have some there that might come usefull to you:
Back to the point, if you don't have those females (I'm almost sure you don't) you need a Ditto. You already know this, a Ditto can breed with ANYTHING, BUT! And this is the interesting part... while breeding, the Ditto wil ALWAYS be the mother. So, if you have an Adamant Ditto holding an everstone and breed it with a random nature female, the baby will be Adamant... well, taking the 50% chance in account.
Ok so far?

Ooh! Ok, then. If that's what you're looking for, then you came to the right place!
What you're asking for is called "Advance Breeding" (completely different from RNG abuse breeding). Though it might sound complicated at first, it's actually pretty simple.
What you need is very simple... an Everstone. You should be given one in any game you play, but you're going to need a bunch of them. Well... not exactly, you basically need just one, but having a lot is easier, that way you won't have to keep switching it from pokemon to pokemon. They are easily found in Diamond and I think in Pearl too (though I wouldn't know, I only have Diamond). Anyway, if you need any, I can provide you with some. I have enough to spare.... free...
Once you have that, you need a FEMALE Pokemon with the right nature to hold the everstone (in gen V it can be either the male or female, but if you have genIV, it's the female only), if you do that, the mother has a 50% chance of passing down the nature to her babies...
Before I continue, I need to know. Which version of pokemon are you playing exactly? Because the next tips deppend a lot on that. I don't want to give you advice that might not work on your version.

Yeah, I knew about the natures affecting a pokemon's stats. But I didn't know how you could breed for them. And I wasn't asking for IVs or Shiny, just how to make pokemon that are good for battles.
November 28th, 2012 5:57 AMPink Mommy
Oh really? You want to be a Pokemon Breeder too? That's great!
And I'm so happy that you asked me for help.
Ok, first things first.... I don't know how to breed for IV's or how to breed Shiny... yet! So if that was your question, sadly, I can't help you.
If you're interested in natures, egg moves and things like that, then you came to the right place!
One of the most important parts of breeding is the nature your pokemon is going to have. Not many know this, but the nature DOES affect how your pokemon develops in battle. A bad natured pokemon won't be very efficient, regardles of what his/her species are.
Here's a chart of the pokemon natures, please take a look...
Take a Ralts, for example: A female Ralts can only grow up to evolve into a Gardevoir, so the perfect nature for her would be MODEST, since Gardevoir has NO physical attack, therefore, the Attack stat is not necesary AT ALL.
On the other hand, if you have a male Ralts and want him to be a Galade, then it would be better to have an Adamant or Jolly, since they boost the stats that are most necesary for him and take away the Sp. Def stat, which won't be exactly necesary in the end.
Ok so far?
There are plenty more things to learn, I just need to know if this is what you wanted to know.
As soon as I get your answer, I'll keep on explaining, ok? (:
