The new Helping Guidelines for the sprite project can be found here:

There you can find my updated master sheets (sheets that have 80x80 versions of the sprites that are to be resized), as well as some useful information to help with the resizing.

Okay, cool. I have all of the HGSS backs saved in one big sheet that I have been using, so I'm good there.

The only ones I did not know was that you had a master sheet (you specifically said BW front sprites, not from the sheet) and the 40x40. I'll keep the latter in mind.

That master sheet is a jpg.
No worries, the master sheet is a little outdated and I will be posting a new one when I make an official tutorial/guideline thing for future helpers (which I will be doing very soon). For now, just use B/W front sprites, since the master sheet for Gen III is mostly that anyways.

I am up to Nuzleaf, and I have been using BW fronts and recolored HGSS backs. Is that fine?
Yeah, that's totally fine. Just make sure you only use HG/SS backs, not Platinum, and especially not D/P. You could easily get the HG/SS backs from the veekun website.

Originally, 11bayerf1 contacted me and told me that he wanted me to use the sprites he had already done, but as I started to look at them, I noticed that many did not fit your guidelines, which is why I sent him to you. I figured since it was your project, you should decide what to do with them, you know?

So 11bayerf1 just contacted me about sprite stuff, which made me realize there are certain guidelines I might have forgotten to tell you for resizing sprites. Anyhow:

*When resizing ____, don't just choose whatever sprite of ____ you think looks the coolest, you have to use the master sheet. For Gen III Pokemon, this is my master sheet:
*Many Pokémon got new backsprites in Pokémon Platinum. And these new backsprites were retained in HG/SS. This is why I say all backsprites have to be resized from HG/SS, no exceptions.

    I mean, seriously:
    D/P backsprites:
    Platinum backsprites:
Open them up in tabs and switch back and forth and just look at how many were changed.

*Sprites need to maintain the original aspect ratio. You can't resize the x axis and y axis at different rates, then the Pokemon would look stretched and disproportionate.
*If the front sprite from the master sheet fits within 40x40, then don't resize it at all, even if it is at a different size from the R/S/E sprite

    That's all

Okay, cool. I personally really like this sprite, the shape and pose itself. It gives a lot more flare to Rayquaza then most of the other poses.

Haha I wouldn't know how you did, it depends on what you're going for. I mean, yeah I can tell that it's a Rayquaza. Although it looks kinda short, but the DW art is like that too.

You would have been right to bash my head in. My apoligies, this was the DreamWorld art, not the Sugimori art. The two were right next to each other.XD

Anyways, I wasn't saying specifically for your sprite project, but just in general. How did I do?

Saying this in a respectful tone, but I think the art style in that sprite doesn't match the official sprites at all.

Hey man, I did this based off of a bad re-size of the Sugimori art. What do you think?

That would be a long shot, so no. Sorry.

Do you want me to get on them?

By any chance, have you done Wingull and Pelipper's sprites yet? They're in DarkViolet's Kanto Dex.

Yeah, I explained more in depth on palettes off the thread. I was hoping to save you a post, but I guess not.XD
