So, how does it feel now that Midna's confirmed as an assist trophy rather than a playable character?

Huh... I'm taking wanting Midna in ssb too seriously...? Lol I could care less if She ends up in the game or not, I just hope she does because I think she is a great character. And when was the last time Vaati was relevant? If anyone is taking this ENTIRE conversation too seriously, it is you.

A friend of mine has looked into our conversation, and he thinks your opinion is flawed/less-likely, because you're taking your hopes for seeing Midna in SSB way to seriously, as well as everyone else who does. Zelda only gets its reps based on relevancy, and the only characters who are relevant are Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Impa, Tingle, Toon Link, Toon Zelda, and Vaati. Midna, along with Majora, Zant, and Ghirahim, is a one-shot character, which means she'll never be in it because of her absence to the series since Twilight Princess. You will only hurt yourself if you keep convincing that she'll make it. You not liking SS is big deal for the company, for it's a sign that the franchise is going down fast if they don't keep older fans from leaving. You don't want it to be another Sonic do you?

Idk why you are being an a-hole. No, I didn't care to read that link. I knew a lot of people didn't like gen 3 but i don't know why. As for SS, that is all about opinion. I personally did not like the game very much. The fact that I didn't like it doesn't make it a bad game though. And I am not the only one who wants Midna in SSB4. TONS of people do. Doesn't mean it will happen, but why can't we be hopeful? Get over yourself, buddy!

Skyward Sword was far from being an bad Zelda title; it was trying to differentiate itself from the other titles after Twilight Princess was criticized by fans for being too much like OoT, even though said bashed WW for not being like OoT (hence why I mentioned the Zelda Cycle). Also, your love for Gen III (with the lack of knowledge of it being one of the most hated gens in the community) and cofidence in seeing Midna in SSB (did you even read the link I posted) only proves that you still have yet to learn.

You don't have to get nasty I thought Skyward Sword was a GOOD game on it's own, but it was a bad zelda game.. If that makes any sense. Kinda like how mario sunshine was a good game, but a bad mario game. And idk why Wind Waker was controversial... it was a wonderful game. And gen III was my personal fav gen of pokemon. Though I never realised that gen III introduced nothing but new pokemon just like gen V did. Also, Midna is as relevant as a lot of characters in the smash bros world. Ness hasn't been in a game besides smash bros since the 90's.

Skyward Sword isn't awful, because the way you play it depends on what room you're playing the game in. If you're playing SS in a room with little space, then of course you'll have some trouble with the controls. The game went to surpass OoT, but Zelda fans like you turned it into something controversial than WW, much like how Pokemon fans made Gen V more controversial than Gen III. Midna will never be in SSB, because she isn't relevant to the series. This is what I hate about the majority of roster predictors, they never do their research on previous rosters nor think twice about suggesting characters who are either too obscure or lost its relevancy. Just look at this link: http://nintendo3dsdaily.com/nintendoarticles/nine-characters-who-wont-be-in-super-smash-bros-4-who-not-to-expect-come-e3-2013/

That is why I said ARGUABLY the worst console Zelda. Zelda II is the worse IMO, but SS was pretty awful. I thought the controls were broken during the harp mini game, the world was far too small for a zelda game, and the characters (and their development) were pale in comparison to twilight princess. I personally like TP and Majoras Mask way more than OOT. But now we are getting WAYYY off topic. From trainer customazation, to smash bros, to zelda LOL! But really, Midna needs to be in the next smash bros. Even if she is riding wolf link.

Because Ghirahim's master is *spoiler alert* Ganondorf's earliest incarnation, meaning we'll technically still have one of Nintendo's biggest villains. Zant is a one-shot Zelda character like Midna and Ghirahim, so that's why he wasn't used in Brawl. Also, SS isn't the worst Zelda console ever; that title belongs to Zelda II. The only people who dislike SS are those who hate motion controls, which are made up of inactive hardcore gamers who are too use to button mashing. Because of this, Ocarina of Time has yet to be dethroned by a modern Zelda title due to its broken fanbase, which will lead to the franchise's demise (just look at the Zelda cycle).

But Zant could've just as easily replaced ganondorf in brawl. Ganondorf didn't even appear in TP until around the end as the final boss. The main question is, WHY would Sakurai replace ganondorf, one of nintendo's most famous villains AND a character present in SSB since melee, in exchange for ghiraham's master, who was in one zelda game, and it was arguably the worst console zelda of all time? It would just make no sense

That's because Twilight Princess was still the latest Zelda title during Brawl's development.

But ganandorf was absent in majora's mask, and reappeared on twilight princess. Idk, this conversation is kind of confusing me because I honestly don't see the problem in sacrificing the x/y characters appearing in ssb if it means we get to have more fun with them in the ACTUAL GAME they are supposed to be in.

Every change done on a game franchise like Pokemon can affect which reps are allowed for the series in question for SSB. For example, Ganondorf's absent in the latest Zelda title, which means he'll be replaced by Ghirahim's master. The customization issue also applies to Fire Emblem, because it means Chrom will not be playable, for he is not "the" main character, it is your unit character, who is customizable and has no default design. Default designs aren't always canon, which is why the XY characters may not be used.

Sweetie, I honestly don't see where you are coming from. I don't know WHY using the default's would be such an issue, but if they are, why does it matter? This isn't about smash bros, it's about pokemon, and i'd MUCH rather have the option to customize my trainer over having some default trainer as usual, and HOPE that said trainer gets included in the next smash bros.

Do you even realize what you're saying, nor do you not know how popular the female trainers are compared to the male trainers who aren't Red? Doesn't matter if they have default designs, Sakurai would still not use the XY trainers and will another Pokemon Trainer who isn't customizable.
