    although I'm also puzzled as to why he can shoot fire underwater or why he can climb down pipes and pop out somewhere worlds apart, I wish my plumber was as gifted as Mario xD

    Your signature tells the truth, and it also applies to other video game franchises (How can Mario shoot fireballs underwater? How come Link doesn't get into trouble entering houses and breaking their property? Why can't Metroid crawl? etc.).
