I can understand why that would be an issue to you, there's still a good possibility that the duplicates will be replaced by newer/existing Pokemon though.

But it is something major for me to determine whether or not the game is better than XY.

To me it's not an issue, but it's only something minor in contrast to everything else that is coming along with the games that is worth looking forward too. We've no details whatsoever on ORAS yet, they could change up the rosters slightly to make them more diverse.

Then there should be no reason to get excited for ORAS if they refuse to fix a major problem with the original like the previous remakes.

Let me reword that. It doesn't so much make me happy that they use duplicate Pokemon, but it doesn't really bother me if they do. As I said it would be great to see updated teams of the Elite Four Members with the likes of Phoebe using Mismagius instead of a second Dusclops, but it's something that's been done for the previous two remakes which leads me to believe that they're likely to pull the same move.

How is having 2 of the same Pokemon suppose to make you happy? It only shows laziness, considering how there were a lot of Psychic types available in Gen 2. This is also why I dislike FR/LG and HG/SS, because they failed to fix the lineup. Do you have any idea how mediocre lineups almost made me shed a tear, along with people who disagree with type diversity? Glacia can't use Froslass, because it's Candice's ace Pokemon.

Ah, well I've got nothing against that but I'm saying that if they gave them their original rosters in ORAS as in RSE then it would feel much more original. They did the same in HGSS when there was a variety if new Pokemon available and yet Will still got his two Xatu. I'd be happy with either and it would be decent to have their duplicates replaced by say Frosslass and Abomasnow, but at the same time I would be equally happy if they maintained the originality.

Type diversity is when a type specialist doesn't use 2-3 Pokemon from the same family line, Pokemon not associated with their type, and Pokemon who are already taken as someone else's ace Pokemon. I used Glacia as an example, because she's one of those type specialists who ruins type diversity, and it's important that her two Sealos and one of her two Glalies need to be replaced by different Ice types for the sake of type diversity. GF managed to fix Flint's team in Platinum, as well as Candice and Volkner's team, so why not the Hoenn gym leaders and Elite Four members. It furiates me when they only change their team post-game in remakes, when I want their teams changed from the get-go to bring type diversity justice.

What do you have against type diversity?
