It's actually supposed to be a looping gif of her laughing, but for some reason it's not working. I sympathize with Misha because I've been in the same position as her before, it kinda sucks a lot... I really wish we could've had a route for her. (Katawa Shoujo Omake Version? I'd totally play it.)
And I have too finished Golden. The trophies for getting the true ending and such are all hidden trophies, so they wouldn't display on your system since you haven't gotten them. At the moment I'm trying a new game + on hard mode, seeing if I can both max out the last few stats I need as well as try to nab all the social links this time. My first time through I pretty much just got the party's done except for the Dojimas.
And screw the next gen consoles. I've just started so much as considering getting the PS3, I don't need that kind of hype for a PS4. And the Wii U? I don't want the Wii U but when they bring out the latest Smash Bros I'm gonna HAVE to get it...
...now that I think of it, I got a Wii for Brawl and a Gamecube for Melee... looks like history really does repeat.
I love that mirror motif... doesn't seem too far out there if that persona game didn't develop into something else although I don't think it'll happen. I guess I'll leave persona creation and arcana up to the RPers.
BTW. I love the avatar... always felt amazed she was a lesbo... never expected it and her story is saddening.
I see you haven't finished Golden yet... shame on you :p I feel lucky for 8 although part of me is upset that all the hype is going to the next gen. consoles... everyone just forgot about the games for the current gen.
I wouldn't necessarily compare Dynasty Warriors with Soul Calibur, they aren't even the same genre. Although if you are gonna play a Dynasty Warriors game, and you don't mind not having any english voice acting, I'd reccomend Warriors Orochi 3, it's definitely the best in the WO series, and gives you all of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors characters to play with, as well as Achilles from Warriors of Troy and Joan of Arc from Bladestorm. DW7 was pretty good, though. But if you hold on a bit I think 8 is coming out soon, and it's PS3 exclusive, you lucky bugger.
I'd reccomend letting players do their own searching for Persona ideas as I've ran into some really good ones from mythologies and fables and such that I never knew about. You learn a lot doing Persona RPs, that's for sure. At the same time you do get a lot of trite and cliche ones, so while I do want to reccomend leaving the decision open, it may be good to restrict it to one mythology. If I remember correct all of the P3 cast's initial personas were Greek mythology, while all of P4's were Japanese mythology.
Also, holeeee crap that is a lot of work to put into a fanmade concept of all things. The thing that got me was that they had pictures and links and videos and music and everything. If it weren't for you telling me it was fake, I would've assumed it was real speculation for a real upcoming game until I noticed they used Brick In The Wall as a dungeon theme.
My playstation screename is HearingFootsteps although I have none of the same games (I had MGS4 a while back). I still wanted to play through P4 although I also wanted to try out Dynasty Warriors 7 because it looks awesome. Looked kinda look a better Soul Caliber. Also the Ps3 debut retail price was insanely high compared to now.
I'm thinking about how I should allow people to select a persona. I'm debating on just saying anything based on a mythological figure or creature but I feel I should specify a specific like Nordic, Greek, Persian, Etc. Also I'm thinking on whether or not it needs a motif. If you look up AtlusxP5, you'll see an amazing fan-made concept of a persona game and this made me think deeply about what I need to do. Once I figure out the theme/motif, I'll be on smooth sailing seeing as the persona thing is more of a whim.
Ahh, when it came time for me to pick between PS3 and XBox, the Xbox was actually affordable and the only two games that interested me that the PS3 had that it didn't were Folklore and Metal Gear Solid 4. If you want I do have a Vita and a PSO tag called gia_bro, but I'm only ever online playing Playstation All Stars Battle Royale (really hyped about the new dlc coming out on the 19th). Rising has been hella fun so far, and I only really know anything about Fist of the North Star through the Ken's Rage series. I'm a big Dynasty Warriors fan so that's what got me into them. I stayed for the awesomeness though. (Gawd I'm gonna have to get all of the achievements for Ken's Rage, Dynasty Warriors Gundam and Warriors Orochi again... and I don't even know how I'll get the Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing ones...)
Feel free to ask me for advice on the Persona RP anytime you want, by the way. Like I said, I've been in a lot of 'em. They were my introduction into the series.
I loved the DBZ series in gaming... sadly, I'm a ps3 player out of habit of being comfortable with the PlayStation. Seems everyone is a XBox user. Sucks to love your Save date and DLC but I know the feel. It's devastating at first but in a few months it'll be the last think on your mind. Metal Gear is alos goo but never played Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 so I'm lost there XD. I heard of the Anime but never got into it.
MOst colleges do a terrible job and don't take any initiative at all when it comes to things like residence (I know due to helping multiple people starting their freshman year) so it's good to know that you were able to get that taken care of.
I'm about 1/4 done with the persona Roleplay. I just need to sort out the Plot and fix some inconsistencies with the setting.
Well the most recent thing that has happened to me is that I got accepted for residence at college!~
Like literally, that happened this afternoon. It was amazing because I was just about to call them up and give them hell for not sending me anything. I got my XBox Live fixed, (super long story) but to do so I needed to make a new account so my achievements, save data, DLC... it's all wiped. : < My new gamertag is MystletainnKick if you want to add me, but I won't be on it for a while because the internet at home isn't good enough. I've been playing a few new games. Metal Gear Rising, Dragonball Z Budokai HD Collection, when Injustice comes out and I have the money I will totally get it... oh! And Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage 2! I got that and my god I love it SO MUCH! I just unlocked Jagi so I am using Jagi for everything and- *another hour of unintelligible fangirl squee*
XD I honestly liked quite a few support characters more than I liked Lyn.
I figured out a plan for the wild card although I figured that I'm not going to state what it is in case you are interested in joining. I'm definitely going to have to look at different mythologies for different cultures. I understand the arcana in general although I might look into the minor arcana as well.
I figured out a good summoning agent although the way I state it may be flawed. I just need to think of a plot and carve out the setting more. Only thing is, I'm divided on how to start the plot but I know for sure that I can make the RP before the end of the month.
I'm still envious of anyone who is vacationing. I used to game a lot during my vacation since I live in a small area although I did like to go on early morning/late night walks.
That's a shame, there are some pretty good games out now. And I'm sorry to ruin Lyn for you. It's always awkward to hear people talking about how hot she is, though.
Gnome's H-Scene was a major disappointment. I don't quite know how else to say it without going into TMI territory.
Let's see here. First I'd reccomend going for a mythos theme. Persona 1 and 2 were based on the Lovecraftian Mythos, Persona 3 is based on Greek mythology, Persona 4 is based on Japanese mythology... you need some sort of unifying theme to link together the antagonists and perhaps maybe the players. I'd recomend either not having a wild card or having the player for it be really good. Make sure that they have to put in the effort to prove they're capable for it, because trust me, everyone is going to ask. I also strongly recomend doing research into the different Arcana, make sure you know what they all mean and such and ask for the players to make sure that their chosen arcanas match up to the characters. The worst of the lot to be misinterpreted are definitely Death and Devil. People get those wrong so many ways that it drives me up the wall. Talismans or personal items of value seems like a good idea for a summoning agent, though. I've seen a few methods used, but I think people are better off coming up with their own ways instead of copying the cards or evokers. I reccomend maybe trying to set out a basic plot skeleton to follow anyways, having some free roam is good, but you're going to want a plotted out structure to lead your players along anyways, or else nothing is gonna happen.
Also, blaaaaaaaghlblah vacations aren't supposed to be busy.
XD my old nintendo fandom fails me again... I haven't played anything of the new nintendo gen ever since... Platinum?
XD that would be awkward... Lyn... that ruined it even more for me... I never found her too attractive either. :p I have an urge to call you Tamamo... being a Godfather is entirely unfamiliar territory to me although I am a uncle.
XD Sweets and I were talking about Gnome's H-scene and I found nothing about it attractive whatsoever... I see Salamander as doing a German Surplex then raping you while you're comatose... kindof too aggressive.
For one thing, I was debating on how much from previous games should be taken. Should personas be summoned by Tarot Cards or Evokers or an entirely new method. As well as the Wildcard, how should I allow Rpers to choose Personas, should I use the Dark hour? I have a few things solidified seeing as I wanted it to take place in a city and main locations would be a school and a shopping district (although this isn't finalized).
I was thinking of using Talismans or personal items of each character that manifest based on the person. I'm trying to think of how the plot can go to keep everyone involved and still have a sense of "free-roam." Any ideas would be appreciated but I'm not expecting much. My original RP has to be PERFECT so I'm delaying it off until I have Star Wars Encyclopedia amounts of information...
I wanted to get into final Fantasy as well seeing as I never finished a game from the series (aside from the first game) and I started 6,7,10,13-1,and 13-2...
And like I said, the sexuality of the viewer is irrelevant, the term still applies as though the viewer is a straight male. (Or gay female I guess). And my posts were shorter because I was at work, where my time is limited and it takes twice as much time to write half as much stuff. @_@ It's convenient to browse, but not much else. There was more I wanted to say, but yeah. Time constraints. And Ike wasn't in Melee, he was in Brawl. : <
But dear lord Fire Emblem is awesome. Except Radiant Dawn. Micaiah is a Mary Sue in dire need of a pimp slap upside the face. It's still one of my favourite franchises and I spent a lot of time on it in my teenaged years. Sadly I could never find Lyn as attractive as my friends do, because Lyn is my mom's name and thus it's... bleh. Ew. Gross. But you gotta get Awakening sometime! I need friends to discuss it with that have played it so I can engage in spoilers free discussion! Some of my favourite characters in it are walking spoilers! The only Fire Emblem friend I have IRL doesn't have it yet, I may get it for him when I see him as a belated Christmas present. (I haven't seen him in a while... I also need to give his son a Christmas present since appearantly I'm his godmother.)
Sylph's size is probably delibrate. She is supposed to be a fairy, and they're ALL tiny. Even the "big" ones like the Trick Fairy. We never actually see Gnome in her scene, though. She just watches... the perv. I can see Undine and Salamander being human sized, though. After all, Salamander goes freaking pro wrestler on your sorry ass. (Another reason why I find her awesome. Some monsters will try to seduce you, screw that ****. Salamander's gonna put you in a double armlock reverse piledriver chokehold armbar of PAIN)
I'd love to help you out with ideas and stuff, I've been in a lot of Persona RPs befoe so I can probably tell you all the stuff that heppens in them usually and what pitfalls you might want to avoid, as well as help you with general setup. However, I'm currently at my limit RPs wise, so while I'd love to provide more assistance than just general advice, I don't really have the time nor resources to do that. Sorry.
Anyways I forgot to ask but I'm debating on putting the original RP aside and doing a Persona RP so I can be more adjusted to being a GM and seeing how it would be with a franchise based RP before I get into an original RP. So... would you like to help with that or....
XD but what if it's a gay guy and a boy who looks like a girl?
EHHH the sencond inFAMOUS game scared me off. I'm envious for Fire Emblem XD. I feel in love with the series after playing it for GBA out of curiousity of Ike in Smash Brothers Melee. I'm indecisive on what to get and too broke to get it all XD.
Your response is considerably shorter!!! It's super effective...
BTW I thought Sylph's H-scene was hilarious... I found it odd that all of the other spirits' H-scenes made them all of human proportion except Sylph remained considerably small.
