I used the lack vs. presence of punctuation to indicate his level of stress, in addition to how much his thoughts are cut up.
Another one of these won't be happening in a while, and when it does happen hopefully he won't be in a "I have a million bad things happening to me right now" situation. Evan has an angry side - as you've seen elsewhere too - but normally he's like the second half of the post with his rational, disciplined side controlling (and filtering too XD) all of those more explicit thoughts. A constant theme for me is exploring the interaction between his rational and emotional sides and keeping both relevant, as he's a lot more pensive usually.
