Remember how you said that 90% of everything is crap?
There's a thing called the
Power Law, which shows exactly what you said. It's also source of the
80-20 rule (20% of people consume 80% of the world's resources, etc.). The math is confusing, but you can use it in any practical application. For example, a small handful of Pokémon fangames are so well-done that they get almost all of the attention, and the vast majority of games receive close to no attention.
