In my Firefox bookmarks, I have a section set up that automatically loads a few sites that I normally visit every day (MSNBC News, Facebook, GMail, YouTube, Wikispaces, etc.). PokéCommunity and the old HoF forum were on that list so they always loaded up. I changed that about a week ago, which was when you sent me that last comment.
Wow, you're really out to get me, aren't you? Remember when you were tied up with schoolwork? You completely isolated yourself from any contact with me, and ignored just about every email I ever sent you. At least I still respond to emails and instant messages.

I'm staying in the team until I finish doing all the things that I started doing. At this point I have no plans to start any more work than what I have mentioned already. However, there are a few things that I have been working on (like putting together the music) which you haven't heard any updates about and probably won't for the next month or two. I also explained to you why I'm not doing the TM concept anytime soon so I don't need to repeat myself.
Look, this happened at the same time that I got hit with tons of other work, so I can't respond to anything for a couple weeks. Remember? I TOLD you many times that I would be busy most of April and May. Basically, between last week and Memorial Day, I have barely any time to go to forums and places like that.

Dude, seriously, I got hit with all kinds of work over spring break (last week) and I'm still having trouble catching up.
I also remember telling you that I might have to take a long break in April.

Well, venom12 showed me his work for the first time about a month ago, and he even showed me his custom tileset. I basically went tile-by-tile to tell him what's good and bad about each one, and he probably took my advice. There is absolutely nothing wrong with criticizing somebody else's work, and it is not considered "spam" just because you say it is. His maps of Johto have a little bit of originality, but he showed me screenshots of his Hoenn maps and they're all the same old R/S maps redone with Kyledove tiles. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to consider that impressive.
What are the odds of anyone finishing any game by the end of the year? I don't think he'll be done for the next three or four years, and he just started! All he has are maps of two regions and a Pokémon Essentials Default/Kyledove hybrid tileset where half of the default tiles are simply recolored and retinted to match Kyledove.
Me suggesting to him to take smaller screenshots so they're easier to see is not spam, and the fact that you're worried more about what I do on the forums than what you do disgusts me more than you will ever understand. Instead of attempting to babysit me, why don't you show the rest of us how your "let's convert everything to D/P" craze can be considered credible when you have never played a single 4th generation game, and when you have such a high level of ignorance in 4th generation Pokémon, mechanics, items, and such?
Evil Monkey is a good spriter, but he is not perfect, and there are plenty of ways in which he can improve.
In his post, Jonny said exactly what needed to be said, and this is exactly the kind of criticism we need if we expect to get any better. I would have said the same things that Jonny had said, but I had to hold myself back because you're too busy worrying about what I'm doing to have any bit of common sense. I can't say to someone exactly what Jonny said to Evil Monkey because I have to listen to your garbage about how I'm too "assertive."
I'm not criticizing venom12 as a person, so I don't see any reason to apologize. I'm extremely critical of his work, and I am this way with lots of other spriters, hackers, and game developers in the forums.
Considering how much I've done for you and your game, I don't see why you tell me what to do when I have just as much stake in all these things as you do. Don't even get me started on all the things that wouldn't happen if I wasn't so devoted to this project.

Let's discuss this stuff in the staff forum.

Well I don't like the current ratio at all. The shiny pokemon encounter rate is a little bit too high and it's even possible for people to find pink caterpie in Viridian forest.
February 19th, 2009 3:48 PMInMooseWeTrust
The shiny ratio is currently 1/16. Every time you mention it, you give a different ratio, and I have to correct you.

She's really busy with school and everything. I'm putting her on the inactive list. (Yes, I'll make staff and job lists on the developer forum soon.)
February 19th, 2009 3:35 PMHall Of Famer
Fine. BTW, any news from Bubblewrap? I'm not asking her to do any sprites right now but I hope we can keep contact with her at least.
February 19th, 2009 3:33 PMInMooseWeTrust
I know, and I keep that in mind when I recruit people. You don't have to tell me any of this considering I WAS THE ONE WHO SPENT WEEKS EXPLAINING THESE THINGS TO YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
February 19th, 2009 3:31 PMHall Of Famer
Yeah, spriters like Oblivionmew can work on backsprites as well. But remember, people have different specialties and it's not wise to ask an overworld/trainer spriter to work on other things like tiles or fakemon sprites.
February 19th, 2009 3:25 PMInMooseWeTrust
No, and I would know considering I recruited all but one of our spriters. I already scour the thread for good sprites and spriters, and I can tell you which ones are acceptable and which ones aren't. The spriters already our team also can do this very well.
Also, we have a lot of spriters already and we're trying to figure out what to do with them. We don't need more for a while.
February 19th, 2009 3:22 PMHall Of Famer
Well the "good spriters" have already been involved with other fan games...

You don't need to tell me where to direct staff members. I originally told you this, so I obviously am way ahead of you in these things.
