Ah, I can see why some people wouldn't want your advice then. XD At least you're honest though! Yeah, I think I probably need to do some major soul searching at some point - probably over the summer as I'm just too tired to do that now haha
Haha, I can be a hardass, and a debbie downer with advice sometimes, I guess! (I don't like patting bums.) But maybe what would help you is seeing what you want to keep as a hobby vs. what you'd wanna do.. and if there is high demand for jobs in that area of study too.
I'm not sure why people don't take your advice, seems pretty sound to me! I do plan on getting a job etc this summer, and maybe I could try something like what you mentioned! My main problem is there are a lot of things I like regardless of whether I'm great at them or not, and I can be really indecisive. But it couldn't hurt!
Haha if it ever gets out then sure!
Well, not many people like to take advice from me, but if you can, look into it now. In College you will have to be paying SO much tuition, even to take general courses. Try looking into a month intern in the summer of highschool! Or just looking into different things or what you might wanna be, now. Later it'll just get too stressful! Or expensive! I rather keep my 5-10 grand a year for books, school, and dorms and put it towards something else instead of just general courses. Some places offer taster courses for adults like a whole saturday of DIY Plumbing, or 10 week IT repair courses that are really cheap on the wallet. That's just what I think. If you have a bunch you like, look into them more, and then dabble in them more now that you have time to try different ones.
That's super cool! (can't say I know those games, but I'm not a big gamer). Make sure you tell me whatever this secret disney game is when it comes out! :3 That sounds like a super fun job!
As for me... I have no clue what I want to do, truth be told. I like a lot of subjects, (and I'm pretty good in them) so it's hard to pinpoint what I want to do the most. But that's what college is for???
Designing characters are done by designers/ concept artists. I do the actual process of animating them, which I love because I like making them come alive.
Worked on Split/Second (Disney) some dev stuff for Disney that I can't say. Working now on Total War: Rome 2, which is really exciting, and I'm loving it! I strive to improve my skills every day- I want to be one of the best animators out there someday! :3
Sorry for the spam of :O but OMG that's amazing! Do you design the characters or do you do like the actual process of animating them? What games have you worked on? I'm so jealous of your life right now !
