Edit the SpriteResizer script by changing @@width and @@height to 512 and 384. You should replace the interface graphics too, but this requires script edits.
I wouldn't change the screen size if you know nothing about scripting, though, since you still have to edit the scripts so the text is positioned properly if you decide to use new graphics.
The second frame is for people who might not like the first frame sprite. There's currently no way to animate them, although it is possible with scripting.
