October 25th, 2012 01:01 PMElite Overlord LeSabre™That sounds pretty interesting, even if it does require a lot of computer time... I wish I was skilled with art and graphics so I could draw my own character instead of having to get others to do them for me (often at cost lol). Actually my conversations with others have dried up recently so I'm glad to have someone to talk with again
So far it's going pretty good in my place, the price is right so I'm willing to ignore some problems (like the slow water heater and ripped/peeling wallpaper). Still, I don't know too many people around here (especially my age) so I'm looking forward to getting myself back south.
Thanks! And I'll remind you As for anime, I'm mostly into high school romance and magical girl shows, some of my favorites being Pretty Cure, To Heart, Hitohira, Myself Yourself, and, more recently, Natsuiro Kiseki and Tari Tari. Yeah, I watch a lot of anime I probably have too much time on my hands, lol
Actually, it's up now, so just take a look at my profile (my new avatar is a hint to what it looks like)!
October 25th, 2012 09:36 AMmysticflowerI'm a junior graphic designer at a local company, which means I get to be creative sometimes but there is a lot of time spent on the computer. I look forward to our convos too
That is great news about you getting your own place, hope it goes well and you end up where you want to be.
Happy Birthday for Sunday, I'll try to remember and post on your wall! What anime and manga do you like? I'm really into Vampire Knight at the moment (the manga, haven't seen the anime).
I'm looking forward to seeing your new sig too
October 24th, 2012 05:43 PMElite Overlord LeSabre™No problem, glad to see you're back! Wow, that sounds tough... good luck with that! What do you do at work now that has you sitting in front of a computer all day? Anyway, we're all glad you came back and I do look forward to our conversations starting up again
As for me, I finally have been able to move to my own place, and if all goes well I'll be moving again in a few months, this time to a city where I want to live (right now it's just a temporary arrangement). That's always better than living alone
I haven't gotten the new games yet, but I'm planning an overnight trip this weekend to the city to celebrate my birthday (which is on Sunday). I plan on heading to the mall and picking up the game then, as well as anime/manga if they have any good ones in stock. I've held off getting the games because of several reasons, but I figured that if I get it on my birthday, then the "Journey Start Date" will be my birthday, which would be pretty cool.
Also tomorrow I plan on finishing up that (kinda related to) Pokemon story I was writing, and I plan on changing my signature as well.
October 24th, 2012 01:12 PMmysticflowerHi LeSabre! Thanks for not giving up on me... I am good thank you, finally settled in at my job. Wow, I had no idea how demanding full time work can be. I am not complaining at all and think I'm really lucky, but I used to come home so tired and sick of computers that I just stopped using PC sort of unconsciously. BUT I think I'm settling in now and looking forward to being back on the forums! How are you? What have you been up to? Did you get B/W2?
October 24th, 2012 01:02 PMElite Overlord LeSabre™Hey there, I saw that you came back to the site! So, how are you?
July 9th, 2012 05:41 PMElite Overlord LeSabre™Cool! Can't wait to see what you think of it
I've been to four, two as a kid (with my grandma, actually), my sister's about 15 years ago, and my cousin's about four years ago, I think? They're pretty fun, except when relatives you hardly know keep pestering you to dance with them... and when your hotel either almost catches fire or tries to scam you out of over $200... But yeah, I've had a pretty good time at the weddings I've been to
Maybe she just forgot about me... oh well, xD I definitely would've enjoyed going though... I can be quite the entertaining person at big events
Yeah, I'm wondering if I should play through XD again. But actually, I wouldn't pay too much attention to what Pokemon people say are good or not... just go with the ones you like, that's what I do. I usually have a variety of Pokemon and move types, a few status moves as well, and I usually go for the accurate attacks.
As for that game that's stolen my attention, it's actually a computer game from an indie developer called "Long Live The Queen." It looks cute but it is BRUTAL... I've died many horrible deaths so far... it's still pretty fun though, as there's multiple endings you can unlock. And I haven't seen its sort of play style on ANY game for the DS.
July 9th, 2012 11:47 AMmysticflowerOo, I like different and interesting! I am looking forward to reading it.
I've never been to a proper wedding before - I used to waitress at weddings, but have never been to the actual ceremony part and have always thought it must be fun to be at the venue and be one of the guests! I am looking forward to it
Sorry to hear you didn't go to your friend's wedding, maybe she just had a really small wedding? It's her loss
I've not been playing much either, I picked up Pokemon Ranger again but as I've completed the storyline I'm not finding it very interesting. I was trying to build a battle subway team in Black, but I spent ages working on this Stoutland and now people on the forums are saying it's not a very good Pokemon :,( and I have no idea really about building good teams. What other game have you been playing?
July 8th, 2012 01:12 PMElite Overlord LeSabre™Thanks! New chapter just went up today! Be warned though... it portrays the Pokemon world and a few of its characters in a very different and unexpected way... but different can be interesting
Yeah, I'm still waiting for the day when I can get steady work and have that satisfaction that I'm doing something
That sounds fun! I haven't been to a wedding in years... one of my good friends from high school had a wedding a few weeks ago but didn't invite me :/ Well, we got one storm that passed through quickly yesterday and it doesn't look like we'll be seeing it again anytime soon :/
As for Pokemon games, not recently... I should get back to Leaf Green and get my team in there from level 75 up to 100 but there's been another game that's been taking all my time and attention lately
July 8th, 2012 11:48 AMmysticflowerThanks! I will have a look
I tell myself every day how lucky I am... even days when I really don't want to go to work, I remind myself how I felt when I had no work and I feel better.
I am going to my cousin's wedding next weekend so I am hoping the rain will have stopped by then! Hope it rains for you soon (sending it your way haha!). Have you played much pokemon lately?
July 7th, 2012 06:52 AMElite Overlord LeSabre™We could actually use the rain here... it's been so dry lately we may run out of useable water. It's really weird how these things go... some places have too much rain while other places need it badly. But we're actually getting a storm system now... talk about irony xD
I'm doing pretty good considering I'm not working. Yeah though, a job is a tough thing to come by, so be lucky you have one
My story's here.... feel free to post comments on it if you'd like
July 7th, 2012 01:21 AMmysticflowerThat sucks its raining really badly here, I am so glad we live high enough not to get flooded... yesterday we had a month of rain in one day and it's still going! Other than that, I'm ok, work is really full on but I shouldn't complain! It would be great to have a look at your new story
July 6th, 2012 01:17 PMElite Overlord LeSabre™Not too bad, it's just really hot and we don't have air conditioning, which is torture on my allergies...
Oh yeah, about my new story, would you like a link to it?
How have you been lately? It's been quite a while since we spoke last!
July 6th, 2012 11:44 AMmysticflowerHey, how are you doing?
June 13th, 2012 04:49 PMElite Overlord LeSabre™I don't know... I can't bring myself to play any Pokemon games unless trainers are involved. For me at least, it feels like a vital element of Pokemon is missing without the trainers, which is why I stick to the XD and Colosseum spinoffs. I'd like to see them release a sequel to those two games, actually.
BTW, I do have a current story I'm working on... it is a sequel to the one you're reading now (with Lisa) but I don't think I spoil too much in it... it's like a separate adventure. Let me know if you'd like a link to it
Unfortunately, I have allergies which cause large rashes and sores all over my skin (including the face), so they do affect my ability to get work. And it's been something I've had my whole life. I'm actually trying to see if that qualifies as a disability. If I could find something where I'm working behind the scenes in a back office, I could probably handle that, that is if anybody around here had those kind of jobs.
June 13th, 2012 01:21 PMmysticflowerYeah, I'm always a bit cautious with spin-off games, but I find pokemon ones are usually good. I liked pokemon pinball and mystery dungeon, and pokemon ranger is ok. Sorry to hear you're suffering with your allergies I hope they clear up soon. Sounds like you're staying positive!
