All right. My friend who proofreads my chapter has already started school, so I'll be spacing the chapters out... probably one month until the next one. So you have some time. Might want to get it done before you start school because you're bound to get hit with a lot of homework right from the start. I know I was.

No, it's not going to be until the last weekend of October. I'm just planning it out right now (saving money, checking bus routes, getting ready to book the hotel). In fact my birthday is exactly two months from today (Oct 28)

I've actually haven't bought any anime DVD's there. Surprisingly their selection of manga is much larger than anime. In the past I've bought manga volumes (including some hard to find ones!) and figurines. I might skip it this trip since I can go to a mall where I can buy both manga and anime DVDs for cheaper. It is kinda nice to have a store devoted just to anime though

Someone must've gotten lazy with the musicals *shrugs* Wouldn't surprise me at all. As for the contests, they were pretty good, better than the dumbed down ones in D/P. One time I think I beat them all in Sapphire, though after the family moved a couple times I have no idea where it (or Emerald, which was in the same storage case) ended up. Probably in one of our storage sheds, behind the Christmas decorations where nobody can get to them xD

Yeah, but I'd like something DS-sized. I think there is one game that's a "Pokemon Girls" dress up with hairstyles and clothes for all of the ladies, but I want an officially released one for a Nintendo system. Leaf's certainly pretty, but sadly her creaters have proved they don't give a crap about her:/

Yeah, even me Part of what made mine stand out was in fact Lisa. Here's this girl wearing a frilly dress that most other trainers wouldn't dream of wearing. She's already a college grad, has this freaky obsession with old cars and math, and prefers to stay at hotels. If anything else, Lisa's personality was the setup for a pretty interesting journey How far did you read into that one?

No, I wouldn't torture myself with a long story. I wanted to write something that I could wrap up fairly quickly. And yeah, I like the fact that I can keep things focused on the main plot most of the time. Keeping things short and simple

Every Pokémon writers started with such a story I guess :/ Only some stories distance themselves from the other ones, when the scenario is much more original, but they're rare. For what I could see, yours did it pretty well, there was obviously the main quest of the badges quest, but it was different.

Really? Oo I thought it would be a long story, I didn't expect only five chapters. But, I don't mean it's a bad things, shorter stories always have a better scenario than long ones, since they mainly focuses on it.

Heading to Rochester, New York, which is the closest "large" city to us. I plan on hitting the Mall at Greece Ridge Center, then dinner at Westgate Family Restaurant, then spend the night at Quality Inn Rochester Airport, then the next day head out to Anchor Sports Bar at Marketplace Mall for my actual birthday lunch/dinner meal thingy xD

I might visit the local anime store (Hammergirl Anime) while up there, too, but I was just there a couple weeks ago and pretty much bought anything I saw that I wanted there. Their anime DVD's and manga volumes are pretty overpriced for the most part, and their figurines are way expensive, lol

Awesome I already have in mind what my next signature will be, and it's not gonna be a cute one like this one is xD The one after, however, will be very cute, and in fact you've seen the picture that I'm planning on using already

Yeah, I know. The gameplay of a Pokemon game should remain on the gaming handheld/console, not spread to your computer. The musicals were pretty lame (and confusing; I tried them once and had no clue what to do, if I even needed to do anything besides sit back and watch), but at least you did them in the game itself.

The Pokemon game I really want to see though, would be a "Leaf Fashion Dress-Up" spinoff game. Something like that could easily become my favorite title in the franchise Just picture dressing her up in all sorts of cute outfits... it would be totally epic xD

In my story, I had to juggle the badges, fighting the bad guys, and deveolping Lisa's bond with her Pokemon (which I HATED, it felt like I was forcing her to be overly emotional) because that was the "in" thing to do at the time. That all definitely dragged the process on for far longer than I wanted it to. I definitely prefer the freedom that comes with Lisa being experienced and established. I get to ditch all the mushy emotional stuff and get to doing what Lisa does best... beating the living daylights out of bad guys xD

Yep, it didn't receive much attention, but it's still here. It's called A Coordinated Investigation, so enjoy! That one actually focuses more on the investigation into the crime in question. You might like that one even better

My current one is going to be five chapters, plus the intro and conclusion, so it's even shorter and it's past the halfway point now. Next chapter is planned for either this weekend or sometime next week - I'll message you when I post it

Well, I just found out that we're going to a local festival on Saturday. I'm not expecting too much seeing as it is just a small town event, but they will have a classic car show, which should be interesting. I could always use new ideas for some of Lisa's "impulse buys," if you will And any excuse to get out of the house is always good xD

Particularly if you don't want to totally aim your story on badges, it takes too much time to make your trainer earn the badges and develop the plot at the same time.

Well, as you've seen with my current story, I like to mix things up and give characters personalities that aren't exactly what you'd expect... in that same first story, Giovanni's also completely reformed I still say that either Giovanni or Evice from Colosseum are my favorite crime bosses, at least in the Pokemon world.

Oh, those games were great Shame you couldn't play as a girl in either of them, but they were still awesome. Same with me with the dream world... tried it once, wondered what the heck the point was, and never went back. Really, if the goal is to immerse you in the game world, then making you turn off the game and go online is kinda counter-productive.

Yeah, that's the truth... my first story was the "badge journey" thing, and while I don't regret writing it, it's not something I would do over again. The very nature of it means that it drags on for way too long, and I don't want to write something with 55 chapters again lol. With Lisa already done all that, I can make much shorter, much more fun stories about her various adventures as a secret agent. It also let me have Lisa do the one thing she wanted to do most while on her journey - drive.

Now, after this story's finished, you might be interested in the one I did before it... it's also a short (7 or 8 chapter) story where Lisa's involved in solving a mystery... so it fits in with your mystery anime and it isn't super long. Plus it has Lisa in a bulletproof contest dress

I may take a look on it It exactly the kind of stuff you like lol Me I've just watched Asogare Otome x Amnesia. Awesome. It's a mystery anime again, and will definitely be one of my favourite. The chara design and the voices are great, the story too... Too bad it's that short.

Archie being voice of reason must be pretty strange I imagine him as a totally crazy guys, a hot head that doesn't think a lot and prefer act. While Maxie is a cool, calm and thoughtful guy. In the manga, they both die >< That's so sad. My two favourite boss...

You've gained experience in writting stories And I guess it's more interesting to write a story about a trainer that has already all their team completed, already travelled and so on, you can imagine a scenario more original than the basic "let's earn all the 8 badges!"

Oh, okay Yep, she does do an awesome job with her art I'm thinking of having her do two or more three pictures for me once she's ready to draw more. I think she captured all the details of Lisa's outfit really well.

I told you to have the tissues ready On a completely different type of anime, if you like my current story with its action/crime elements, one series I recommend checking out is the Gunsmith Cats OVA. It's an older series, but the girls in it definitely do their fair share of damage with guns, cars, and high explosives alike

Their plans were completely off the wall... funny you should mention stories, since they both appear in my original story but [SPOILER!] are completely opposite of the anime - in mine Archie's the voice of reason while Maxie's the one who's gone off the deep end But I'm not a big fan of water routes and I actually contemplated letting Maxie win just so he could get rid of some of them xD

The closest thing to that were the Colo/XD games, which, because of the darker plot (and because of Miror B., my favorite male Pokemon character) rank as among my favorites. I just don't know who came up with the ideas of musicals though... and I wasn't fond of the dream world, something that's not even in the game that you have to go online for.

I do actually, two of them. Problem is, one of them lives four hours away and the other lives 13 hours away, and I haven't seen either of them in years (and I'd like to). Then there's the fact that we don't do anything but talk - which I don't mind, except I really don't have that much to say with people who are 40-50 years older than me - and most of whom I don't know anyway. I doubt I can talk anime with them. At least when my dad's relatives come I can talk cars with my uncle xD

Yeah, it's been rough, but now things are cooling off - with nasty storms, go figure. As for me, I'm doing pretty well, especially with my new Lisa pictures

Okay, I'll keep you posted. And I suppose that's fine as well - I actually think my newer stories are a lot better than my old one, even if it did establish Lisa as a character. Besides, this one establishes Lisa and Leaf as butt-kicking BFFs
