Oh, well I meant just spriters. Not much need for banners or anything. Spriting is hard. D:
I haven't touched any of the games just because I really, really hate demos (I'm weird like that) and that's all they ever are. I'm also very picky when it comes to things like dialogue; I hate to be judgmental, but 90% of the games are like they're written by twelve year olds. Alot of them focus too much on gameplay gimmicks and design prettiness, and too little on what the characters are saying. I know that sounds strange to be so picky when it comes to Pokemon dialogue, but the retail games are bad enough when it comes to this that I'd like to see something different every now and then. Why play the Pokemon fangames when the same experience can be had playing Platinum?
WTF is Lunar? And yeah, I noticed it was pretty close to your birthday. Merry Early Womb-Springing Day! You won't feel any different; I sure didn't. D:
I wouldn't feel too guilty about HoF; after all, if you did the work when you didn't feel like doing it, you'd just be doing a poorer job for it. I only work when I feel like it and that makes alot of people unhappy with me sometimes, but my work is always top notch.
ahm in ur conversationz, stalkin u and stuff. I have a habit of going through random conversations, even my own.
Graphics i.e. banners or spriting? Because I mean that in the same sense, btw.
I don't really play many of the games here but I like looking at the screen shots and I see alot with Kyledove's tileset and really horrible trainers.
;_; Some days I hate myself and some days I love myself and I can never tell why each day is different. I would say right now it's because of Lunar and it's close to my birthday. I tend to be "OMFGLOVEMEIT'SMYBIRTHDAYCELEBRATEMEEEEEEE"! It doesn't help I'm turning 18, which is more special than a normal birthday! (And so was my 16th, so it's harder to buy now...)
I wouldn't call HoF's a bite as it's more of a reminder, and there goes that problem. When asked straight out I don't know how to say no without giving "I'm too busy." crap. "I can't." is a lie, because I can. "No, sorry." is just rude without an explanation which explanation=excuse, and...Yeah.
"Current Activity: Viewing Conversation Vişne Tanrıça and Anastasia.R"
Oh, I've tried doing graphics myself, and it just wasn't my kind of scene. I haven't touched Photoshop in six years, and I'm not a particularly artsy guy to begin with. I'm just better with words. D:
I like to be consistent, too, which is why whoever we kidnap recruit to sprite is going to have to do it in the D/P style. I refuse to use pre-existing stuff, nothing turns me off more than one of those stereotypically fail fangames with all the mismatched tiles and hilariously bad scratch Fakemon sprites. But yes, you are egotistical, you should feel terrible about yourself. : D
Speaking of spriting for other people, just noticed you got two bites a few VMs below mine. : P
Oh I knew I was in the running. xD I was happy, it's just not a spot I envisioned myself in.
It's not the making the sprites that's hard, it's the actually getting myself to make them in the first place. I guess you have to wait until you get a spriter that says yes, try your own hand at the graphics, or use the default or free to use sprites. Though me, being the visual person I am would slit my wrist at style variance which is why I can't really love the game, or I would want to do all the sprites just for consistency.
This is a problem in my Web Design II class as we are revamping the school's website pages and I want to do them all so they are consistent. (And I'm better than most people in my class, the teacher asks me for help!... I feel like my ego is huge when I talk to you for some reason.)
Yeah, that was the original plan of action, but, uh... six months later and there's still no spriters. Something has to give eventually, and I'm in no rush.
Voted Head Spriter when you didn't even know you were in the running? Democracy at it's finest! But yeah, I can totally dig being lazy about a project that isn't yours. I can understand that sentament even better now that I've actually tried spriting for myself; I really don't know how you have the patience for it. D:
The Lt. Surge overworld is on Serebii, where they talk about in-game trades. Apparently Surge, Stephen Stone and Brock trade you stuff. I just thought it was hilarious that Surges' Pikachu's nickname was in English. American Gym Leader, rock on.
*pat pat* Well, I guess work on the programming part of the game and leave the graphics for later?
I am. But I never really wanted to commit to any game.
HoF asked me if I could do a sprite, I said wait until summer, we had long interesting talks and I wanted to do sprites because I thought he was a good person and put effort into his game.
So it wasn't really I wanted to commit to a game but I felt happy doing requests for a friend to the point I said I would be on the team.
And as it turned out I was voted to Head Spriter...
But in my actual nature, I am quite lazy and don't care much about the organization or end result of something unless it has the label of "mine" on it, or I am intimately familiar with the people or creative process.
Personally, I don't want to commit and would rather do my own sprites I like, but I'm not the average spriter.
Don't know much about the population of spriters, but I know ever since ROM Hacking people spilled in and no recolors/fusions I've seen a large amount of tileset makers and a bunch of scratch fakemon.
I don't understand the art in the pixel art, really, it's only a game maker's recruiting ground it seems most of the time.
Oh man, oh man. G Gundam was the stuff. Military, shmilitary, there was a gundam that looked like a windmill. That's awesome, IMO.
And yeah, I didn't mean that their letters were upside down, I meant those little mark things. They look like the German umlauts, but they're on the bottom instead of the top. That yumeh-shock-yea nonsense sounds entirely too complicated for it's own good. >_<
And yes! Damn you spriters and your dastardly ways! Keeping you awake is all part of my master revenge plot. I really should sleep, too, though; I have work in around six hours! D:
I should have seen Evangelion by now, but I have not. :'D I had a Nia theme till I got all excited about HGSS, but my blog still has the elements of the old one.
Ah haha, I only watched Gundam Wing (I was like 10, and did not understand a thing, beside the fact I thought everyone besides WuFei was pretty and Relena needed to die.) and G Gundam (Which was less MILITARY than the others I've seen.)
No letters in Turkish are upside down, but they do add little marks to things. Each letter isn't too horrible different than english. Expect ğ. There's ç (che) and ş (shey), but ğ. You how the name for the letter ğ is pronounced? Yumeh-shock-yea.
But when you actually put it in a word is just makes things slur. It's so weird.

Are we spriters deceiving poor you? x)
I really needed to be sleeping but I slipped on here to check if anything interesting happened and I couldn't sleep. :< I blame you for making me stay up longer.
I'm not a big mech guy either, aside from a few select Gundam. 8th MS Team and Mobile Suit 0080 are my favorites, they focus more on the human characters rather than just the big crazy mech fight scenes. Of course, there's always Evangelion and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, but those are more than just "mech animu"; they're both in a league of their own.
And yeah, I guess I do recognize your username now. Turkish uses those weird upside down oomlauts that I never see in any other language.
