Hey, about your extended world map:
Do you think it would be a good idea to use that (in its finished form) for my game, or do you think I should try to do something like FR and have the tiles, tilemap, and data change depending on the region?
Just wondering: you know the name selection screen, where you can enter in your name and such?
Would you have any idea at all how to change the spacing in between the letters?
EDIT: Never mind, found the data at 0x62B88D in Emerald.
Wow, you certainly have a lot of projects. I can't wait to see your hack with all those features implemented. Just don't be like me and spend so much time on the features that you neglect the hack itself. :D
Well, if you're talking about magnets, you'd better ask a Mormon.
... I don't know what that means, I just found it on the internet. XD
Anyways, I have been doing some interesting things for Emerald, such as making things act like they do in FireRed, as well as importing some other things from it. So far, I've changed the bag sounds to match FR's as well as the cash register sound in the Poké Marts, fixed the slight overlapping of the money over the box of the money counter, completely rewrote and expanded the Hoenn Dex to match GSC's New Pokédex as well as changed all evaluation routines for it, inserted a new option into the PC (Prof. Oak's PC), inserted FR's one-block-high doors, figured out how to make a sprite retain its facing while moving (great for jumping backwards), rewrote the Pokémon Center healing animation to match FR's, converted the tri-layered blocks over to FireRed and then Ruby's vastly different engine as well as making a "space-saver" background byte (for if you have many consecutive tri-layers), hijacked the TV flashing routine to not flash when downstairs automatically as well as removing the gender check for the TV's default script, hijacked the elevator to correctly display and go to 6F and B1F, and a crapload of other stuff that I can't remember ATM. All of this (except for the porting of the tri-layered block routine to Ruby and FR) is for Emerald.
... As you can see, I've been plenty busy lately. :D
lol, I totally just said "poles" instead of "polls", didn't I? I blame my physics class and these freakin' magnets.
Eh, not really. I've mainly been working on putting together a tileset for my hack. Normally it would be fun but it pales in comparison to working on more interesting problems, like the Follow Me script. I have been doing a little work for Pink Parka Girl, though. I've been working on hacking the Cycling Road timer to execute a script after a certain amount of time has passed. But that's about it. How about you?
