Glad to hear it. It makes a change from the usual type of game here.

Done. And just so you know, you can bump your thread if you want despite it being more than two months dormant, so long as you're providing some kind of new information (e.g. a progress report) and are continuing to work on it.

Hi there, long time not read.
My thread http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=295505 is marked as Demo and it appears I can't change that. Could you change it to developing, please?

Source code? I don't even know what you want to do with it. I've not done anything more to the AI anyway yet.

Hi Maruno! Exams are going well, last one will be Tuesday in two weeks (so not the day after tomorrow but a week later). Should I ask you for the up-to-date source code then or will you just (finally) update your first post of the TCG thread?

He says it's basically database analysis and decision trees. That said, we'll need some battles to let the AI learn. Well, we will see about that after the exams, sometime after the start of march.

Making an AI is certainly an interesting challenge. That "learning" part sounds fascinating, and I'd like to know how your friend intends to do something like that (as a concept, not the literal code).

I spoke to a friend of mine who had Machine Learning last semester. He is basically interested in programming a learning(!) AI for the TCG, but he has to learn Ruby first and is a bit lazy, so it could take a while.
Just giving you high hopes :P

Have fun with your exams. I look forward to hearing from you. Your questions have been more substantial (and therefore useful) than most other people's.

I'll look forward it, but I start writing exams saturday next week. Have to start learning <__<
But I'll monitor the thread and eventually get in touch with you again.
