I don't think that someone would be mad at you if you make a little rest from all the work you did, I mean you already did so much for everyone.
Here's how to change the name length limit, then (as far as I know):
In Compiler, search for the phrase is greater than 10 characters and change the number at the end of that line. In PokemonUtilities, find def def pbNickname and change the number there. The same goes for PokeBattle_ActualScene def pbNameEntry, PokemonParty the line involving pbEnterText, PokemonStorage the line involving pbEnterText, PokemonShadowPokemon the line involving pbEnterText, and PokemonDayCare def pbHatch. Oh, and whichever Name Rater NPCs you have.
I didn't realise that message wasn't translatable. I've fixed that for the next version, whenever that'll come out.

oh yeah and btw. I'm nearly finished with translating the kit into german, I have only to see the problem with the names (the german name of qwilfish has 12 characters, hope it fits) and translate some other stuff. should I translate the events on the map too?
And can you maybe add for the future version an _INTL to the Input for the heros name? it's only possible at to change by scripting it"
It's possible, yes, and fairly easily too. However, long names won't fit into various spaces where names go (such as in the party screen or in battle), which is why I haven't already increased the limit.
I'm currently working on my game and found a little problem. The name of my pokémon in the PBS-Files couldn't be longer than 10 characters. Is it possible for me to change that? I thought it's better to ask you directly here, before I'm opening a whole thread for this question (:
