Oh! Hey! So you said you're a scripter... So, I have a question. Is there any way you could write up for me a weather condition which is a mist which, in battle, causes poison? Poison and Steel types should be immune to it.
If you can't, that's okay, but I thought I'd ask.
Another thing I'd like (which I don't know if it can be implemented at all) is a type of water which does damage to your surfing Pokémon as you surf... Stuff for the Wastes, which my game is partly named after.
If you can help with that, I'd be greatly indebted to you, I kid not.

Oh, aah. Too many forums, too many people. Until I actually know more about what's going on... I don't normally join forums unless I have a good reason. I joined here for Shiny Gold - and what with the way things have gone since, I'm glad - I joined GTS+ for GPX+ (and have only posted once, I think), and I joined UniFaction because of UniCreatures, and only get on for UniCreatures contests and to dress up my avatar. And of course, there's my SotW forum, but nobody goes on it anyway, and it's just there "in case", if you understand.
So yeah. I'm not the most social person ever. But if I get interested, I will join to be friendly, and be about as active as a slug or a turtle. >.>

Well Mad.Array is the head scripter of my fangame, lol He is rather busy recently, but I am sure he will be back someday. I'd like to see what I can do to help you though.
Anyway, did you get on Mysidia already?

>_-" Argh.... So... busy...
I was so busy I did that... no, I haven't even gotten that far yet. Working on doing what I can with the DP moves still... DX...
I guess I'll have to go do that, but... So would I be getting in touch with this Mad Array person to ask about those effects, or what? Is that how I would do it? You didn't answer. See, I'm not really used to working with others. That's part of why I'm fine with doing a lot of this myself, even if it takes longer. That, and I know what I want, while other people don't. The only thing is, I don't understand this scripting thing well enough to do more than - say - turn smellingsalt into wakeup slap. And I don't think I can find somebody who can explain it in a way I'll understand.
I didn't explore, but the front page was just a thing that said "Joomla" all over it. DX Didn't seem interesting from there. I'll need to know where the interesting stuff is, or else just tell me when it's ready, and I'll go take another look. ^_~

lol you posted that VM on your own profile. Anyway, did you register on Pokemon Mysidia already?

Well I do script, and I've been working on the revamp of D/P summary screen recently. My previous works were D/P selection screen and Undead system. I will be doing a lot more things in future, maybe advanced scripting? My head scripter Mad Array made the D/P move effects and ability script, and maybe you can take a look into that.
Well you can click on the link of my sig in order to get on Pokemon Mysidia. I am waiting for you there.

Links are good. I'd rather not Google it. Google loves to throw you irrelevancies. Me anyway.
I just posted this on the SotW thread (an edit, to the sound of chirruping crickets), but I thought I'd ask. Do you script at all? I'm looking for someone who has, or can write, scripts for the missing D/P move effects.

lol yeah. It is a long and exhausting process, but we have no choice.
And btw, would you mind taking a look at the site Pokemon Mysidia?

Basically we just do what we can and try to figure out how to live with what we can't. *shrugs*
That basically just sums up - well - things in general. XD

lol this is exactly the same thing I have been doing for my game. I used to update my game thread constantly, but now I am focusing a huge operation on it and no update will be posted until I am almost done with this operation. My game thread was closed anyway...
So yeah, it is unfair to judge the progress of a fangame by looking at the number of posts the developer makes on his game thread.
Its sad to know Shiny gold is down, considering it is like the pioneer of pokemon hacks/fangames. It even played a big role in PC's raising to popularity, and I am sure most of the members here wouldnt want to see it die. But anyway, we dont have to question its legacy no matter whether it will ever be completed or not.
September 23rd, 2009 6:53 AMKaylee Krysteenah Fynch
I spend more time updating my game than its thread. But I guess you would understand that, ne? I guess I should put screenies or something, just to tide people over (the ones on there are pretty outdated), but screening and uploading just seems like a hassle when really I'm just trying to work.
You just can't judge how much work is being done on a game or hack by how much the creator pays attention to the thread.
(though, for the record (I'm not in the know), but I think Shiny Gold is down for the count... XD)
September 22nd, 2009 11:26 PMHall Of Famer
lol I didnt mean it, you just took words out of my mouth this time. Anyway, its good to see you begin making progress on your game again.
And that sounds interesting, I will check out your thread when I have time. I just finished one of the five exams I have to take for this week, and trust me it makes me eager to die...
I have been busy reconstructing my site and forum recently. A significant reason is that I cant take care of a site and a fangame at the same time, while my fangame is always my top priority. I came out with an idea of merging my forum with two partners, and I will eventually be able to step away from forum management(so I can spend more time on my game). The new community is called Pokemon Mysidia, do you like this name?

Back to it? Which implies that I quit at some point? "
I work off and on, but I never really quit. I've worked a little recently. I've done a bit more of the outside tiles, and updated the Forest Town map with them.
It's like... I guess I work more like the hare than the tortoise. I work a whole awful lot at once, and then I have to take a break. That's how I do almost everything.
