Certainly going overseas fullstop is fun (well, most places anyway. I wouldn't say be that keen to go to Bali or the likes...). Friends is better but be sure that you all know each other well and that there's no friction between yourselves.
I'm afraid that Japan isn't that far in the future. Yet. =p

That sounds like amazing fun, I should definitely add travelling to Japan to my list of things to do one day.
On the note of transport, is there those sky/flying capsules that travel along rails in the air all over the city? Or was that just a lie and I'm jus gullibe? XD

Well! We stayed in Tokyo mostly in different areas (two hotels), and inbetween had a stint in Osaka in a hotel by Universal studios (was very nice, by a port and a whole section of restaurants). And we had a day trip to Kyoto as well, which was quite enjoyable (saw a shrine and went to a castle). Saw other places (an aquarium for example, and various districts of Tokyo including the gaming district and Shibuya), and also the Pokemon centres. XD
Their public transport also puts ours to shame. =( Stupid Australia...

Yeah great, today's been awesome. Everything I wanted to turn out, has turned out. The most exciting being I passed my interview and got into SRC! So yeah, I'm in a really happy mood today -- more than usual, I should say. :p

Beginning to get into the uni mode now, after my fun trip to Japan. I want to go back to Japan. =( they had hot cocoa and tea in vending machines
