Hurrah for six years of you being here!

Good question, actually. I do believe the song was more than just a 'go australia' deal and more about overselling Australia (e.g. it going on about Vegemite and Australians drinking beer which isn't the greatest of assets), and stuff being ruined by it (the plundering and...well, chundering). From vague recollection anyway... a bit of searching says 'It's really about the plundering of the country by greedy people. It is ultimately about celebrating the country, but not in a nationalistic way and not in a flag-waving sense', so there you go. Yay memory!

We play it often especially on national days (Australia Day) despite the lyrics. It has a fair bit of background - first got popular I believe when Australians won the American Cup (a yacht race nobody else had won before), used for the Olympics, and even had a controversial copyright lawsuit over it.

And I was planning on changing it by my tomorrow the latest, actually, but cheers for asking. Kinda got caught up with a few things of late and also bad internet.

So I was listening to Men At Work, and I have to ask why they wanted to announce that Australia is the place where men vomit. "Where the beer flows and the men chunder." idk

Would you like me to help pick Pokemon for the Writer's Dex? We're a little late this week, but if need be, I can always RNG a Pokemon for next week. Just say the word and I'll help out.

Oh, of course, forgot about that. The poo poo kind.

Link was censored for having a bad word. Is the word of the "poo poo" variety or the "gently caress" variety?

Cool. I actually missed a lot of it as a kid (didn't have pay tv so no cartoon network, and it was rarely not on that... and a good amount of the shows I did see as a young kid is different to most other kids here I bet! :V), but I saw it some years ago and felt like it'd be a good thing to switch too. After everyone else left the X&Y theme. :<

Also I suppose so @ melting face comparison.

Your theme brings back some memories for me, back to the time when I was raised by television.

Like the guy in the first Indiana Jones movie? Because that's what I'm imagining.

Hey here's a surprise! I agree with Marcin!
I was so surprised my face melted off.

Sometimes it weirds people out if I'm a bit too early, apparently. XD

And that's the best birthday gift of all: remembering time zones.

Now that I've waited until it was the 15th both here and over there - happy birthday! =)

    Opinion given!

And hmm. How high can the fliers fiy? How many wings do they have? Those are starting points.

Your presence is requested in the Winter Writing Competition thread to give your opinion on something!

Not "Winger" Competition as I originally wrote. Not sure how to judge the best fliers on a forum!
