    yeah, one last thing, what's the command for finding the port? because I'm using 000host.com for a site and has free mySQL but I can't find the port....

    Now you write your code to get the data from the server into the game, then write some more code to do checks against data.

    It's probably better if you just figure things out for yourself, rather than me telling you everything. It's how I learnt.

    I suggest playing around with MySQL on a server and learning what it's functions are before coding with it in RGSS.

    To have it online you'll need a webhost.

    Localhost only works if you're running code on the same server as the SQL Server.

    I don't really get that much I'm still new to mySQL, anyways thanks for the internet thing (now I just need to find a way to add the server online any help for that?)

    If you're connecting to a server on the internet, you'll need to put in the domain name instead of localhost.

    Localhost only works if you're running code on the same server as the SQL Server.

    ok, well you said you got a mySQL mystery gift system can you help me everytime I setup a local-host connection it says "cannot connect to server" the port/host/user/password are all the default and I setup the default (I even left mySQL open....)

    Yeah, but it's not compatible with essentials i'm afraid.
