Um, I don't know, you kind of have the extreme in each case. The programs I make, I ensure a compatible with Vista, but some other programmers don't. Scizz is an example, I cannot ise A-Text on my laptop because of this, and there is not a lot you can do about it. Windows 98 is more likely to work, but I wouldn't like to say for sure.

Well, if you're looking to edit text in the advance games, then use Advance Text, for older games try PokéText, or a hex editor with table support like Thingy32, that works pretty well. With advance games you can add as much text as you want, as the data is repointed to avoid deleting important data, but with a hex editor, don't exceed the existing box of text as it will screw up <_<

Advance text really is a good tool, I would recommend it!

Well, the advanced generation games are the easiest to hack. This is where most of the research has happened, so it is where you will find the most useful tools!

I only make tools for other generations because I started programming pretty late, and missed the boat for the advanced programming, there are still gaps in the market for the old gameboy games though!

Haha guess you'e right. Well, you need to get over to my website, www.swamperttools.co.nr and go to the download page, which contains loads of tools for the old school generation, a few of them by me 0_o...

Get PokéMap to edit the maps in the game, (this isnt the best, redmap is so I'm going to update the site with it in a minute...), basically, all the tools are there to help you hack, the name of the tool usually denotes what it does...
