I used to do the exact same thing, and it practically killed my last two fics. xD It is difficult to stop yourself from posting a chapter right away, but you've just got to resist the urge. Readers/reviewers enjoy a new chapter every few days. 'Cause it gives them time to reflect on what happened in the previous chapter, allows them to come up with ideas of what they think will happen next (which is always fun to do) and, most importantly, when it comes to thourough reviews, it's almost as hard to write them as it is for the author to write the chapter.
Well, seeing as it's two in the morning, I was planning on going to sleep soon. xP But you've got my word that you'll see a review when I wake up.
I get so excited after I spend nine or ten hours working on a chapter, that I just can't help but want to post it out of sheer excitement. I take pride in my work, and I want to share my enjoyment with the readers. I guess I didn't realize just how much it can scare off my audience until you pointed it out. It's just a temptation that I'm going to have to work on.
So yeah, your advice is duly noted, and I'd really love to know what you think of Feral Game overall!
