    Er I was being sarcastic in the ASM thread just now. Sorry if it wasn't obvious but I couldn't resist making that post. I actually hate Advanced Adventure XD

    I never heard of WaterBlue if that's actually a thing, but yes you apparently can win HOTY that way. I mean. Other monstrosities do it all the time, so why not XD

    Hmm... does a byte set on certain battle-related RAM locations when the Pokemon who can Mega is sent out (especially when switch or defeated, the bytes sets again if the target is not Mega)?

    In that way, I would modify the battle scripts of Thief, Trick, etc. to have jumps to cancel out if the item held from the target is a Mega Stone. Actually not checking if its a Mega stone BUT checking if the target is who can Mega or in Mega. I guess this would work.

    Oh wow, I didnt realize there was that much into it. Would it be possible to maybe recreate the diploma screen ASM to just run off of a loadpointer or a table?

    Ahh. Sure thing! Well then... It is really complicated for me to port it myself so I'll wait for yours. I've recently reinstalled Mega to look for possible bugs, only for testing though. But, I've reported something on GitHub right now.

    Touched Senpai, I have yet another ASM question(sorry), but how would one go about either displaying a 256color image at will or by replicating the black screen with white text that displays when you faint in FR?

    Yow. Gonna insert again your Mega Evolution hack.
    But what should I do first, install Mega Evolution before expanding the Pokedex (in hand "no tool")? It is because if that's the way I'm going to do, to avoid that "doesn't work on expanded mons" issue, I would have replace pointers that your hack uses.
    Nevermind. I just got it. Well, I'm just experimenting stuff now as I'm gonna try implementing this into Emerald.

    Hey Touched! Long time no talk!

    With FBI's help, I'm reasonably sure that I've found some undocumented offsets for the BPEE idb that are equivalent to some Firered ones, but I'm not experienced enough to know for sure (or to know how to debug what they're actually doing). I was wondering if you could take a look and/or give me some pointers on how to debug what I'm trying to do when we're both online?

    Basically, I think I've found the corresponding Emerald locations for the things mentioned in this post. The byte changes for the security key are at 08076C02 and for the DMA negation (I overwrote those 2 bytes with 00 21 instead of what his post said, because it's using different registers there than in Firered) at 08076BEE in Emerald I think. But I don't know how to verify that the data is now static.

    Additionally, I think that 08076BEC in Emerald is 0804C062 in Firered, and changing that 0x7C to an 0x00 should disable the Pokemon substructure mutations, but, again, I don't know how I would verify that. Damn these gaps in my knowledge!

    Could you spare some tips?

    Trainer sliding, there's a graphical bug. Basically the sliding and stuff works fine, but after the slide is over, when you kill the Pokemon you're fighting, it doesn't disappear. I can manually make it disappear by opening the Pokemon menu and closing it again. But I think refreshing the sprites after the trainer slide is done would probably be better.
