Yep. Mangled is also known as Toy Foxy or Foxy 2.0. He/She has been torn apart and reassembled by mischievous kids so many times that the employees at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza just stopped trying to put him/her back together and just left him/her as a take-apart/repair attraction. Kind of cruel, but the game's supposedly set in 1987 and that generation was particularly cruel to their toys... I kind of find it odd that it's set in 1987, though, since it's not a proper prequel. There are too many references to the first game for that, despite all the events that supposedly lead up to the "bite of 87."

Look up the videos "How to make Five Nights at Freddy's Not Scary" and "How to make Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Not Scary." You'll laugh your butt off, I swear. There are a couple versions people have posted, but the ones I watched were by someone with the username 'GarArt(something).' Sorry, I usually don't pay attention to usernames unless I really like what they shared.

I just decided to try my hand at Mangled because he/she's one of those freakish mechanical monsters that reminds me of certain things from my childhood. I used to be into a lot of folk-art, assembling, and the like as a kid. I used to come up with similar mechanized monsters back in the day, some of which inspired my Fakemon like Zomborg/Zombrong/Zombroken.

Yeah, you're exactly right. For starters, I actually draw now, not sketch like this: Also, many of my newer Fakemon have completed designs, not just combinations of elements like how Oposeteer is a zombie possum fused with a puppet stage. A lot of my older ones weren't as well thought through as my newer designs. Lupudle, for example, was/is VERY simplistic in terms of design without a lot of additions to it since I first drew it back in 2000-something. It's just a wolf with dreadlocks or a mane. If you re-read the first chapter of Feral Twilight, I'm sure you'd see that immediately with the description of Spunky too.

Also, Mangled... You know FNAF and FNAF2, right? I'm sure you've heard of them at least. I'm not a fan of them, but I have been watching LPs on Youtube with my phone and I've been laughing my butt off at them. Mangle's a really abominable character that I just had to draw: (Um, hope you don't mind me linking so much to my FA again. It's just my only outlet for uploading pics, save for Weasyl.)

Those are just outlines, but yes, I agree that I need to put a little more work into projects. I did finish Oposeteer and I'm still working on Mangle's pic. Actually, I just added some more details to it so it doesn't look so plain. I'm now coloring it so it has full foreground/background.

Please tell me you still have that Santa Serperior avatar you made, that was the best avatar I saw last year, really!

Softness in the graphite mostly. No.2 pencils are generally considered "hard," where as B-series ones have a gradient scale of softness that effects how the lines appear when drawn. 3B is considered medium and somewhat comparable to No.2s, while 8B is considered extra soft and sort of grainy. I want to say the graininess leaves a nasty dust trail, but this isn't the case. Some examples I'm working on: <-Outlined in 3B; <-Doorway outlined in 8B. I like the effects of both really. Aside from less blurriness from erasing, the varied softness gives it sort of a nice hazy effect that gives the outlined part a nice crude feel. It doesn't feel all mechanically drawn. I still need to finish the second pic, but I still say it's a huge improvement over my old drawing kit.

Well, I did get a new drawing kit last week. :3 I'm pretty happy with it because I have actual drawing pencils now instead of the plain No.2 pencils I'd been using to this point. The graphite dust doesn't spread all over the place with these when I erase parts of unneeded outlining, so it doesn't blur like it did with my old stuff when I scan things. I've already done a few pics (including a redrawn sketch of my Oposeteer design and a pic of Mangled from Five Nights at Freddy's 2 that I'm still working on).

Heya! Been a while since I heard from you, Nolafus, so I thought I'd drop you a line. How have you been lately?

I'm half and half on that movie really. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't. It certainly wasn't Will Smith's best flick, that's for sure.

About Me

  • About Nolafus
My guess is that you saw my bold blue name and wanted to know a bit more about me. Well, you've come to the right place!

As far as pokemon goes, my first game was Black. My parents didn't want me engulfed by the franchise when I was young, so they never let me do anything pokemon. I felt like I was missing out, bought Black on a school band trip my sophomore year of high school, and I've been hooked ever since. A word of warning, since I came into the franchise so late, I have a tendency to mix up my earlier generations, so please be a little understanding in regards to that.

I do enjoy competitive battling, and I dare say that my grass team and NU team are pretty good! So, if you ever want to battle, drop me a message and I'll do my best to get back to you. Since I don't have wifi at my house, it will have to be on Showdown. I'm almost always up for a battle or two, so don't be shy about asking.

As far as non-pokemon stuff goes, I also enjoy writing. Well, it's kind of obvious at this point, but I really do enjoy it. I think it would be amazing to become a professional writer someday, and I'm giving my best shot at it. I have yet to send anything out to publishers, mainly because I'm a bit too nervous to take that step, but I hope to send something out soon. Now whether that actually gets published is a different story, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

If you're interested in writing, don't be afraid to leave me a message! I love getting mail, and it would be awesome to hear from you. If you have any questions about the writing craft, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. I'm still sort of new to writing, when compared to some of you old folk, but I'm pretty confident in my abilities.

I've been modding FF&W ever since November 8th, 2013, and I really enjoy it. I get to help people develop their skills and be in a community with fellow writers. What's better than that?
I also like roller coasters and I play the trumpet, french horn, mellophone (a french horn for marching band), and flugel.
    Lost in thought... again

Okay, so this is my response to Dakota's blog. I was tagged by Zach, and I thought this would be a fun thing to do. Dakota's blog explaining what this all is can be found here:

Alright, so let's get started!

Nicholas. And since that's way too short of an answer, I'll...

Alright, so many of you have noticed that I have started a sign-up for a creative writing class. For those of you that haven't noticed, then read on!

Since I think school does a terrible job of teaching creative writing and several people have expressed their interest in it, I'm going to be attempting to teach a creative writing right here on PC. I certainly don't know everything about writing, so this is just going to be an introductory course. Everything you need to know about this...

Hello everyone!

Some of you know that I have been off at a writing conference for the past few days. I'm heading back tomorrow, but insomnia strikes tonight, so I may as well write about it now. I'm just going to tell you about what I learned about not just writing, but about the writers themselves.

The more and more panels I went to, the more and more I learned something. Now, these panels were about a huge variety of topics ranging from asking how many readers is...

Before I start, I would just like to say that I don't actually want to be a garbage man when I grow up. Before you ask me why I chose the title, let me ask you a question first. Why did you click on this blog? What prompted you to read this entry while you could be doing a thousand different things? There are several answers to this simple question. Some of you clicked on this simply because I'm your friend and friends are more likely to read friend's stuff. However, I hope there's another reason...
