It's very easy actually. The same data format that applies for hacking Buu's Fury actually applies to hacking LoG II. I happened to write information about Buu's Fury hacking that can be downloaded along with the ips-file (in that same thread).

Only tool required to hack either one of these games is a hex editor. With it, you just search for the data that the enemies have (HP, Str, Pow, End) and you can find the enemy data like that easily and edit it.

Does the same message pop up when playing the original Buu's Fury rom ?
If so, you'll have to switch to using a different emulator. I think that VisualBoyAdvance 1.1 works (if you're playing with PC).
