The first ones I watched were by some British kid on YouTube, but I think you can find what you're looking for here.

Ah, I've never heard of that! And I'd recommend you get used to the mechanics of A-Map. It's pretty similar to MEH, and it's not hard to get the hang of.

And if you don't want to do a hack project of your own, you can always join a team. I'm thinking of starting one for my hack, actually; I hate mapping, so I'm hoping to find someone who'll help me out with it.

I've been ROM hacking off and on for a while, and I'm relearning a bunch of stuff right now, but I'd be happy to help you out. And it's good that you can sprite; I'm still sort of wobbling through spriting, ahaha.
