  • Apologies for the late response, I don't log in much anymore.

Glad to hear you played it! Your suggestions were certainly very helpful for that part of the game, although I do feel that I could have done much more with it. If I were to redo it today I'd definitely make the options longer and more involved so there's actually some sort of commitment you have to make, it would be cool to actually have to go through a mini-dungeon in the "virtual world" for the Porygon choice for example. It feels somewhat pointless when the choices you make only affect maybe a minute of content at the most. But even so, it was still more complex and interactive than just about about every other choice in the game (If I remember correctly there was only 1 other quest in the whole game that had multiple options like that). Thanks for all the help you gave me, and I hope you managed to enjoy the game anyways! :)
Sorry for making you wait so long! If you're ready I can send you what should be the complete beta. Let me know if you're still up for it.
Thanks for that bug report, I think I know what's causing it.

I'm not sure what's causing the Itemfinder thing, though.
Oh, I suspect I know what's going on there. Basically, the code I use that teleports the camera to the top of the room has a bug where it duplicates the player in its position and creates that bugged thing. I think I know of a way to remedy it, but that is a pain. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Yeah, this is a known oddity. It does only absorb 50% of the damage inflicted, so the description is accurate, I just didn't get around to making the correct move effect, which is why it is like that. That is one of the things that will be updated for Beta 3!
Yep! I'm working on a better version that has 7 gyms (as opposed to the original 6) so you might want to wait for that, hopefully it will be ready very soon. The one you have is very outdated and pretty buggy.
Forgot to mention in my PM, VBA won't let you load a save state. You should either use a battery save, or edit the rom header so it reads "FIRECYAN". Sorry about that, just something I forgot to change.
Yeah don't worry about it. If you haven't started yet I can send you a more up to date copy with some additions and bug fixes.
Hey, not sure if you're too busy to do the testing but let me know if you can. Would be great to hear from you. :)
Thanks! I had some typos in their type definitions, so my script never found a match for them. Should be fixed now
I disabled the running shoes right before the player gets on it, and enable it when they get off. Yeah most of the stuff there I'm aware of, I haven't scripted much people, the rollout guy won't be there for example, and that was a nice catch, of the boat, I'll fix that.
Thanks for finding all that stuff, gonna be fixed :D
About them staying in the most recent docks, I won't be doing that, it took me a few hours to get them ready, and at this point, I'm sick of these boats XD
I'll block access to the broken one. The map has some issues that I'm aware of, obviously gonna fix, like tiles that don't let you pass through, player's head getting covered, etc. For now, to go to the map, go to the player's house and back. I'll PM you the link.
Shed Skin it is then :D
Say, wanna test something in the game I've been working on? It's about controllable boats :)
