I still disagree with the theory that entertainment media corrupts kids.

That reminds me of how people tried to censor rock in the 70's, which I believe is absolutely ludicrous.

The many hoards of sheep will do anything the government wants them to, no matter how blatantly dishonest the propaganda is.

You weren't allowed to watch Yu-Gi-Oh?

Did your parents consider it to be too dark, or was the rule made for religious reasons?

Are you familiar with the character in the below picture?

The link scanner I used did say one site had a "bad reputation", I assume that meant it was the subject of many kids (or manchildren) trying to take it down due to the common fascist mindset.

lol, all that's going to do is cause the reverse of what the message is supposed to achieve.

Yeah indeed! I used to watch it with my parents! Y'know, back when there wasn't such a thing as nighttime homework and you were in elementary school and all your homework was done before dinner?

Then again, I'd say the same for American Idol back when I used to watch it

I've never been bothered to watch AGT in all the years it's been on.

The only show I plan to watch is The Flash when that premieres on Tuesday night, other than that I don't watch anything else more either

I haven't either to be honest. When I started the XY series, I said to myself "I won't finish this" and boy was I right haha

I honestly think it's just a component bouncing off the anime, and of course, Ash's friendship to Greninja as well.

It'd be unfair then for Chesnaught and Delphox to not get them if Greninja got one

I've seen many sources cite it as Ash-Greninja and none that said mega. Oh well, guess we'll see when they reveal more.

About Me

  • About Nolafus
Hello and welcome to my profile!

It's quite obvious at this point, but my main interest would have to be writing. I'm not the greatest, but I'm working hard to improve every day, and I hope that I can get a few things published in my lifetime. I mainly write light sci-fi pieces, but I'll get an idea for something else every once in a while. Despite this being a pokemon forum, I don't write much fanfiction. However, I do enjoy reading it from time to time. As far as reading/watching goes, I prefer sci-fi or horror.

Besides writing, I also enjoy watching movies, playing video games, and day dreaming. My top three movies would have to be District 9, How to Train Your Dragon, and Slumdog Millionaire in that order. I don't really have an organized list for video games, but Mass Effect and Skyrim are my top two. I like to competitively battle as well, so if you ever want a battle, let me know! I mainly play OU, but I make teams just for fun for just about any tier. I don't play video games too much anymore, but you'll occasionally find me on Rocket League.

I think that pretty much sums it up. If you have any questions about anything, or just want to chat, my inbox is always open!

I modded FF&W from November 8th, 2013, to March 12th, 2015, and really enjoyed it. I've been a super-moderator ever since the latter date, and I love being able to help PC in whichever way I can.
I also like roller coasters and I play the trumpet, french horn, mellophone (a french horn for marching band), and flugel.
    Lost in thought... again

M. Night Shyamalan brings us yet another horror flick, but this one is a little different.

I must admit, when I saw the trailer for this film I wasn't expecting much. Here comes yet another found footage horror film to throw into the pile, lost and forgotten with all of the other cheaply made films studios pump out for a quick buck. At least, that's what I thought until I did some more digging. M. Night Shyamalan actually made this movie with his own money....

This movie is gory, doesn't make sense, over the top, and mindless action. So why did I enjoy it?

I must say, I was really surprised by American Ultra. I went in expecting mindless action with really cheap comedy, and that's actually exactly what I got. But don't worry, there's a lot more to it. The very things I went in to see took a backseat to a story with a surprising amount of heart and characters that weren't drones for endless jokes. Don't get me...

If you thought the first Sinister was messed up, hold on to your sanity, because you haven't seen anything yet.

For the record, I thought the first movie was decent. It at least tried to break from the traditional hollywood jumpscare routine by giving us interesting-ish characters and a plot that wasn't bad. This movie is pretty much the same, only it cranks up the demonic factor to twelve, and doesn't hold anything...

With big blockbusters like Jurassic World, Minions, Ant-Man, and movies that people are cautiously waiting for like Fantastic 4 currently out in theaters, of course I went to see the psychological thriller no one has ever heard of. I actually didn't have any plans to go to the movies tonight, but hey, when someone offers a free ride somewhere, you take it. Well, unless they're offering candy. Now if someone really wanted to get people in their car, they'd offer free wifi instead of candy, and wow,...

It was my turn to decide which movie my family and I would go see, and it was between Ted 2 and Inside Out. Considering that the last comedy sequel I saw, Paul Blart 2, was a complete disaster, I decided to go with Inside Out. I hop in my truck, melt away on the drive over because of the summer heat, and arrive at the theatre cooked to a nice medium rare. My mom handed me my ticket (since family is also another word for free), and found our seats.

As I was sitting there, I noticed...
