About the cities, I only consider towns / cities as the red markers... Blue ones would be places.

Well... RSE or DPPt styles are speedy. I can have you a perfect map, ready for insertion, in 2 - 3 hours. A scratch style demands me to create the style out of the blue, which may delay from a day to a week, depending on the complexity... However, you can ensure the scratch style to be unique.
