  • I think its fine as long as you aren't playing the same game at the same time. good luck.
yeah, Steelix is a 2% chance in Cliff Cave, I totally forgot about that lol. well just make sure you note that you can't trade at all in your first update as your reason for hacking Scizor in.
Hey man, glad to see you're doing some challenges. quick note though. Are you doing your steel monotype on a SS cartridge or emulator? Cause you can get an Onix in Violet City (trade), so hacking in Onix and Scizor is not allowed per the rules of the challenge. Also when you can hack, only one pokemon. If you're using an emulator/flashcart, you can easily evolve Onix and Scyther with an Evoloution Editor or Pokesav, although I would wait until you can get a Metal Coat (steal em from Magnemite with Thief!).
Yup, that should work. :) And yeah, I know it sucks having to wait on someone to answer something for you. The OP of that challenge just updated it today though. If you'd like, feel free to come to the challenge irc. It's not super super active, but the person that owns that thread comes in there a bit and we could use a bit more people in there so that it can be active. :) Here's the link if you'd like to come in and chat! http://client04.chat.mibbit.com/?server=irc.systemnet.info&channel=%23swablunest
    1. Looks like you've found a loophole then! But it would be a good idea to ask and double check, so that your entry doesn't get turned down.

    2. Normally, I update after I get a badge, but keep in mind I play rather slowly. When I update, I just post my game, player name, number of badges, current team, and usually talk about what I've done since my last update. Also, make sure that you don't double post when updating. If you have an update, but no one has posted since you last did, just click the edit button and add in your other update.

    3. You can, as long as they fit the signature rules, which you can see and ask about here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=267370

    4. No time limits! They aren't races. There are rare occasions where a challenge will have a time limit though, and if you can't participate because of work, it's be to not participate. Challenge events usually last a month, which has been plenty of time in the past. We haven't had an event recently, though I have one planned for some time in the fall. Good stuff! You can see an archive of old events in the FAQ.

Anything else you need to know? :)
