  • Hey, what you posted earlier about a new map editor sounded really cool, and I would love to see and new and improved map editor. Would you consider letting me help with the development? I don't know C#, but I do know some java and am currently learning swift. I'd like to work alongside you on a map editor that is either cross platform or just for Mac. I think a lot of people would appreciate new tools like these.
He's more than welcome to word his opinion in a not so insulting manner and post again.
Also, Christos himself has made fun of the Ruby Renev hack in an IRC client. He's hiding behind his hypocrisy but won't get past that and will just delete what he pleases.
Here I'll give you the post of what I said so you can see it again. He's talking about the two hacks I mentioned: Ruby Renev and Light Rising.

"You do realize that SWHF uses nothing but premade tiles from other tile spriters? Look at his credits list, it'll show you.

Sure, it's great that someone has the capability of looking around for nice tiles but that doesn't make a game. Any 8-year-old can do that. What makes a hack great is originality, creativity, and ownership.

Guess what? Meowth made all his tiles and made all his sprites, his idea is original (making a pokemon game into a zelda pokemon-styled game) and has incorporated many features like the original zelda games. The story isn't the same either so it has some more creativity and originality in that area also.
The GBC one has same tiles and sure nuzlocke that's cool and all but sorry a single feature doesn't make a game. Meowth's hack is by far the best hack listed and it's really a shame to see all the little kids vote for any other over this based off graphics or nuzlocke. But that's what separates hackers and players. Hackers have the motives, intelligence, and creativity (most times) to create good hacks while the players make Ruby Renev or Light Rising or vote for graphics only. This competition will never be fair as long as only 10-year-olds vote, but then again what am I saying... half of the posters in this section haven't even hit puberty yet."
I appreciate you trying to stick up for my post deletion. I know I am harsh but that's how opinions are and come off across certain people like Christos who, as moderators, should be able to handle but can't. If it's not perfect for her/him then it's not going to stay. Thanks again
