that actually does sound like an interesting class. i bet it made you think a lot about what could really be considered a "good life." i remember my philosophy class made me think so much my brain almost exploded, it was awesome until i had to have test to remember all of the philosophers and then i became disinterested immediately.

that's the coolest and the scariest thing about life. what if one little thing was different. would that change your life completely or be the only thing that's different...ugh it hurts to think about.

Oh, no, boy! You no badmouth me 'bout shrimp, I tell ya whut! *spoke in a fake Cajun accent*

Lobsters are bottom feeders, so of course they were given to prisoners. Mmm, if I recall, they considered crab meat a delicacy that only kings and dignitaries could only enjoy properly. That and caviar, but who can really afford caviar on a working man's salary anyways?

I've won like countless small tournaments over the years and around five or six sanctioned local ones. haven't come close to winning any regional/national tournaments though. fortunately, I've gotten a lot of semifinals and finals results so I still have a pretty solid ranking.

sounds like you had a pretty dang good tennis tournament career! doubles is so fun to play even in practice. I mostly play singles tournaments though, as my doubles partner travels a lot especially during the summer. we do really well when he's around though - he's quite the bet player and I'm more of the baseline grinder haha

I like the detail! I can talk tennis forever honestly lol

Eh, lobster is overrated if you ask me. Crab is good, so are fried crawdads if you ever get the chance to try them. I'm not saying I eat them all the time, but they are good. Same with shrimp.

I'm sorry I'm such a jerk - I read this post on my phone when I was out last Wednesday and then when I got back to my PC I had no notifications and just forgot to reply lol. I saw Geoff's letter to you in the letters to ourselves thread and I thought "OMG I WAS TALKING TO HIM FFS"

Anyway thank you that's really nice I'm hating my job more and more and whenever that happens I like to withdraw back into my writing with the dream that one day it will help me escape it forever. So hopefully you'll be seeing some more output from me at some point soon haha.

So if you don't do comedy, what writing do you do?

Yep, well, crab legs aren't generally a good source for the meat (iirc), but they are tasty. It's been a while since I had real crab meat, though. I generally get the imitation stuff if anything. The imitation crab meat is good, but the real thing is a lot better.

About Me

  • About Slayr231
My guess is that you saw my bold blue name and wanted to know a bit more about me. Well, you've come to the right place!

As far as pokemon goes, my first game was Black. My parents didn't want me engulfed by the franchise when I was young, so they never let me do anything pokemon. I felt like I was missing out, bought Black on a school band trip my sophomore year of high school, and I've been hooked ever since. A word of warning, since I came into the franchise so late, I have a tendency to mix up my earlier generations, so please be a little understanding in regards to that.

I do enjoy competitive battling, and I dare say that my grass team and NU team are pretty good! So, if you ever want to battle, drop me a message and I'll do my best to get back to you. Since I don't have wifi at my house, it will have to be on Showdown. I'm almost always up for a battle or two, so don't be shy about asking.

As far as non-pokemon stuff goes, I also enjoy writing. Well, it's kind of obvious at this point, but I really do enjoy it. I think it would be amazing to become a professional writer someday, and I'm giving my best shot at it. I have yet to send anything out to publishers, mainly because I'm a bit too nervous to take that step, but I hope to send something out soon. Now whether that actually gets published is a different story, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

If you're interested in writing, don't be afraid to leave me a message! I love getting mail, and it would be awesome to hear from you. If you have any questions about the writing craft, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. I'm still sort of new to writing, when compared to some of you old folk, but I'm pretty confident in my abilities.

I've been modding FF&W ever since November 8th, 2013, and I really enjoy it. I get to help people develop their skills and be in a community with fellow writers. What's better than that?
I also like roller coasters and I play the trumpet, french horn, mellophone (a french horn for marching band), and flugel.
    Lost in thought... again

No longer will you have to continuously visit your blog over and over again, hoping someone has come by and helped you with your essay. Now, you can do the exact same thing, but with a thread in FF&W! Thanks to the new [Nonfiction] prefix, your essays, opinion papers, and creative nonfiction now have their own happy, little home surrounded by other literature pieces where they belong. So, next time you have an essay for school, or just wrote an essay for fun (hey, I can't be the only one who...

Alright, so many of you have noticed that I have started a sign-up for a creative writing class. For those of you that haven't noticed, then read on!

Since I think school does a terrible job of teaching creative writing and several people have expressed their interest in it, I'm going to be attempting to teach a creative writing right here on PC. I certainly don't know everything about writing, so this is just going to be an introductory course. Everything you need to know about this...

Hello everyone!

Some of you know that I have been off at a writing conference for the past few days. I'm heading back tomorrow, but insomnia strikes tonight, so I may as well write about it now. I'm just going to tell you about what I learned about not just writing, but about the writers themselves.

The more and more panels I went to, the more and more I learned something. Now, these panels were about a huge variety of topics ranging from asking how many readers is...

Before I start, I would just like to say that I don't actually want to be a garbage man when I grow up. Before you ask me why I chose the title, let me ask you a question first. Why did you click on this blog? What prompted you to read this entry while you could be doing a thousand different things? There are several answers to this simple question. Some of you clicked on this simply because I'm your friend and friends are more likely to read friend's stuff. However, I hope there's another reason...

Well, the title says it all. It's a question I've been pondering recently and I think I just might have the solution. But before we get to that, let's meet our fighters.

Chuck Norris:
Chuck Norris is perhaps the toughest human being to ever walk the face of the Earth. Countless stories and contests have been made spreading news of his, previously to be thought, impossible deeds. From choosing one lucky kid to be thrown to the sun a year, and selling pajamas with his face on it...
