  • Oh get! Honestly a lot has changed, I got married and moved to another country being the biggest ones lol. How have you been??
d'aw cute <3 yeah i'm gonna change the name of mine probably since i don't like the name she was given haha, its toughh
sorry I forgot to reply to my messages heh heh what else is new...
I've been good!! busy but ok. we're getting a new cat next month! how about you??? <3
I've been quite busy, so I haven't posted in awhile, but I think I'm going to post some more tomorrow to round out and fluff up the story. I've been slackin', sorry.
A very diverse bunch there! Oddish is pretty cute, hee. And Fighting-types do have a lot of interesting designs. I have to agree too that Oshawott, Mienfoo, and Pancham are pretty awesome! (I even have a shiny Pancham. It was my second shiny. :O) Squirtle's just adorable too, and I love its fluffy tail. And Sneasel? Sneasel was one of those Gen II Pokemon I thought was pretty cool when I first saw it.
That sounds like a good start. It's getting to be early in the morning, and my drunk speak comes out at this time so I'll work on my stuff tomorrow and have it up by, err, sometime later today hopefully.
That was actually a pretty good draw, and much better than I had anticipated. And of course, there is also the fact that you didn't pick out the story setting, and if you haven't been in a little while it can be difficult to get back into the swing of things. So it's all up to practice and writing experience. Sometimes it flows, sometimes it stumps you (me). So if you continue you'll undoubtedly do better of course. I liked that you even utilized the whip! Everyone has a whip in G1 but no one used it. It's also expected from team rocket to try and pull out a when even if it is dirty, so points there. As far as I'm concerned you're able to create your own character and hold your own (I'll be a bit honest, there are a few participants that don't really seem all that enthusiastic) and it might do better if moved to the RP section.

On terms of 'joining' a story, my experience juts out to 'borrowing' characters for example: if one of my Pokémon gets separated from me (I mean we have room for ten, it's bound to happen at one point or another.) you'd write for that specific character doing the best 'impersonation' you're able to do until otherwise. There are also complications when entering stories of others and not having a fall back, one person might not post for weeks even (bummer) and trying to explore or slay dragons or what have you side by side in a forum setting can become tedious. So I believe it best to discuss further topics and ideas outside of the game. Perhaps we call each other on the Pokénav or cell phones or whatever it is the people use in the series to communicate long distance? Maybe we're teammates? Unlikely or uneasy allies? Nemeses perhaps? Are you part of an organization bent on world domination or a simple traveler? What do you want to be?
I don't see why not. However, I would like to discuss this in further detail later on the line so as not to have the entire storyline flop or become so rigid it no longer flows naturally. For starters, let's see what kind of trainer you come up with! A Young Trainer with an affinity for shorts? A bug catcher that refuses to evolve his Caterpie because he hates Metapods? A Roughneck? A Baller? Swimmer? Don't worry, if you're not sure how they'd fit into my puzzle, I have scissors to make them fit.

Tell me his stories or you know, what he does when he's not working as a pizza delivery boy because he needs money for his Aunt's medicine. Since I'm a long time role player, I do, as you said, have slightly higher expectations. They're not unattainable, and are actually quite exciting and easy to obtain through sheer imagination and a little bit of writing skills (I still play RP when gunning down filthy xenos on the tabletop), and it's a tad more difficult than the spoken word, of course. I'd mainly like to see how you can handle a certain archetype and situations you didn't necessarily create.

If you're willing: As an exercise I'm putting you into the boots of the first Rocket Grunt ever encountered in Mt. Moon (cave). You have yourself a Sandshrew, a Ratatata and a Zubat at your disposal all at lvl.11. On your routine patrol of the cave you encounter a brat that struts right into your business. You fighting a losing battle. I leave what Pokémon Red has up to you. You also have a whip:

I don't know why you have the whip, but have fun. It can be lengthy, it can be only a couple paragraphs. As long as it's imaginative enough to not snore your reader.

Also, I would like to tell first off that it may be a few posts before I can encounter you, so if you would like to wait it might be along wait. So I suggest setting out and doing your own thing perhaps. Maybe it's a story in the past, or the present?

So long as it's a bit of a story you should be fine and clear: "I walked my Slowbro out to get the mail. Man, Slowbro is soooo slow. I hit him on the head with the newspaper and he doesn't even notice until we're back inside. The end." is not an acceptable way to play the game. Although I began to chuckle at why I'd hit the Slowbro on the head with the newspaper in the first place. Why did I do that? Explain! It's an acceptable opening sentence, but I'd base it in the low C grade.

So what I'm saying is for now: do whatever the hell you want. Let me see your mind and imagination at the workplace. One last, but final rambling note: I like to play dirty. Things tend to get far worse before they get better when I write. Depending on how long this can go, people can get seriously hurt, maimed, or outright killed. I'm still pondering how far I'm going to take this, you see, as people tend to freak out when Pokémon are harmed. But to me, that's the nature of the game. So in short: 'Boy, that escalated quickly.' can apply in these situations.
Hmm. There are quite a few I like, but let me see... that's a tough question!

In no particular order, I'd say Vulpix, Goodra, Zoroark, Dragonair, Leafeon (or Espeon), Gardevoir, Lilligant, Serperior, Reshiram, and Latias. Ha, I tend to like the fluffy, girly ones. Vulpix was my first favorite when I was a child. And Goodra's one of my newer favorites. I'm just so fascinated lately by it. I loved Zoroark from the moment it was first released. And Dragonair is so beautiful and graceful with awesome gems. I like gems. Leafeon is my favorite of the Eeveelutions next to Espeon. It has such a grassy charm (I really like Grass-types) whilst Espeon is simplistically beautiful. Gardevoir is a pretty womanlike fairy in a dress, so extra girliness points. And Lilligant gives me flowergasms. I love flowers. Especially big red ones. Serperior looks like a Pokemon that I'd design and makes me think of my art style, so that's why I like that one. And Reshiram is a master of aesthetically pleasing. It is the perfect mix of bird, mammal, and dragon, and it's white! I like white. Lastly, Latias is red and very quirky-looking, and that's probably what I'd be if I was a Legendary. Also, bonus points for being female only, hee.

    What about you?
This may initially sound like an absurd game, but I came up with it out of the blue.

We'll start of with some set Pokémon, and whomever claims that Pokémon first owns it. You may nickname it. All Pokémon will start out at level 5.
I will have a list of users who are participating, followed by the Pokémon they own below. I will be constantly updating this so you know which Pokemon are available.

Another thing of note is I will occasionally bring event Pokémon into this, whether they be shiny or legendary, what have you, they will only be available for a short period of time! You can find these under the Event section.

A single post in this thread warrants 10 points. Perhaps this should be expanded upon? Shouldn't the post contain some role playing elements? Someone could just sit there and spam "I really like that post. That is a good post" to gain points.

I will try and keep your points up to date next to your name and Pokémon you own, so keep that in mind; so if you're making a purchase from the shop, let me know in a post or a VM so I can subtract your total points, same goes for leveling up your Pokémon. methods of contacting you can be changed at your discretion. Whether you prefer VMs or being told in a post in this thread.

In regards to how you level up your Pokemon that you do own, you must use a rare candy, which can be purchased from the shop below.

In regards to evolving, you may evolve any Pokemon at level 10, By using an evolve stone, Pokémon can evolve! You must purchase one from the shop. I think it would be smarter for Pokemon to be able to evolve at whatever level they normally evolve at, so that's the new rule. Pokemon that level up requiring specific items or moves now just level up at a certain level. Pokémon who are traded still level up by being traded. This still requires an evolve stone however.Does [level up] mean evolve? If so, what level should they evolve at? 30?

A newly added feature is trading! You may trade with other players, by putting a Pokemon up for offer! If someone sees it and wants it, they may make an offer and if the trainer who initially put the Pokemon up accepts, your Pokemon will be switched!

There is also a limit to how many Pokémon a trainer can own. This limit is currently ten but can be extended by five using a certain item.

Another new thing that may interest certain people, is I will interact with you by adding random happenings from time to time. These can include almost anything but are not limited too an NPC trainer interacting with you, a random Pokémon encounter etc. I do this in an RP format, so if you are a fan of that you might enjoy this aspect. If you do not wish for me to interact with you using these random encounters, feel free to notify me.

If you don't see the post below this one, most people make regular posts talking about their experiences with their Pokémon and the things they do on a day-to-day basis. This is also done in an RP-Like format, and is a good way to gain Points.

I've rearranged and changed some of the wording to your post so it's a tad easier to read (wall of text). I think I added all of the special é's but I may have missed a few. Let me know if you want bullets on this. Of course you can feel free to spice it up however you like, I just think splitting up certain things and maybe adding a 'rules' section would be helpful.
I see how it is. Now you put up the Poison Pokémon! Hahahha. I was wondering if you could change the name of my Dedenne in your list of players to Candella? Hope that's not too much to ask. Oh, and I'm typing right now. Don't worry. I'm sure it'll be a nice little read. Always on the 'go big or go home' side of things. Helps a bit to keep playing if it's more like a story I suppose.
No fun to just sit on the sidelines kiddo. Just be sure not to pour too much favor onto yourself, and maybe designate another as a Game Master. That's basically the impartial person in the room [you] so it'd only be natural to have another impartial person give you events and such.
