  • Well, waterbenders are pretty good with manipulating water and freezing it at will, that sort of thing. Maybe not rip someones heart out, but drain them of their blood certainly. Like Hama from the first avatar. Even freezing the blood first and ripping the ice crystals out of their body would be exciting though a tad gory.
The crazy things fandoms come up with. xD
Bumi was my favourite bit of the last episode, just like his namesake. Shame he only appeared in the last episode. I'm still kind of disappointed with all the squandered opportunity with Bloodbending though. With all those crazy limb positions, bloodbenders can ****ing rip someone's heart out or cause your blood to do all sorts of crazy ****. Instead what does Amon do with it? Throw people. Just... throw people. I admit, subtly using it to control fighters is pretty awesome, but still. Throwing people.
Everyone needs a bit of Star Wars in their life now and then. :P

In other news: Finally caught up on all the episodes of Legend of Korra, and ho crap that was fast. :s The ending was good, felt rushed and bit ass-pullish, but okay. I didn't really like how Amon's origins were really, really simple, but I get that it's not an overly complicated show. And as an overall point regarding the show: the romantic elements weren't incredibly gracefully done. A bit disappointing and kind of painful to watch. Still, it had the potential for so much more. If only The Legend of Korra had the balls to show a bit (a lot) of blood or maybe tackle the themes in less shallow a manner. Or maybe if it was a Japanese Anime <-- in which case they wouldn't care about age-appropriateness. I'm intentionally being vague here because I don't know if you've watched it yet or not.
I don't care where that came from, that's an amaaaazing idea. :O <-- That was my face while reading it. I would love to see that animated. That would make my day.

In other news, I spent an hour watching this because I loved it and it was great. <3
Rob Paulsen (Pinky (Pinky and the Brain)) and Billy West (Fry (Futurama)) are in it among others.
I think it's more like, you don't know what you're gonna get (if you don't peek that is) so keep on your toes, and OH **** is that a NEW building?! Yeah, that's more like it.
Idk, I'll be waiting for it without any positive or negative expectations.

In other news, started playing Civ 4 on a harder difficulty setting now. Babylon's a dick. :(
I don't actually remember why I forgot to reply here. I think I was tired last night? Maybe. I have no idea.

Thanks. =D I do try. So many ideas for that story. Problems in the execution, that's all.

The hard part of city planning where you unlock different buildings is the realistic part of it, I think. Because, that's what they do in real life, kinda. We don't have everything yet and people actually leave room for predicted infrastructure instead of going with the most optimal configuration right now. Like, if a town had never used gas pipes before (had it delivered in tanks that sort of thing), how hard would it be to dig up all the roads and pipe up everyone's houses. It's that kind of thing that people leave room for. That and new wiring.
Prewett is budding author gets custody of weird (poltergeist) child with dire implications and no cutesy "I'm starting to get to know this kid" crap.

Totally worth it, man. Breaking Bad is the ****.

In other news, I don't know how to feel about this.
One one hand, oh my God SO EXCITED. Look at that simulation run (inside mechanics video)!
On the other hand... I don't know if they're just repackaging an old product. I like my Maxis with innovation thank you very much.
I'm thinking of giving another go at Prewett for NaNo. Also maybe a different name, but that's minor compared to the main thing. November's a while away so there's plenty of time.

I'm actually trying to get back to watching Breaking Bad. I was up to somewhere in the middle of Season 3 before I stopped due to IRL commitments. I might pick up Firefly after Breaking Bad if it doesn't end like I assumed it did.

Yeah, it was pretty sad. In his old age, he kinda looked like Alfred Neuman, the MAD mascot. Never read MAD of course, but I know what their mascot looks like.
Ho crap, Nano. :O I need to start properly planning now if I'm ever going to have something ready for November.

I've been wanting to watch Firefly because everyone on the internet's been talking about it since forever. But then I heard it was cancelled on a cliffhanger and I'm like, "eeehh... can't be bothered". I hate it when awesome things end on unresolved cliffhangers.

EDIT: Oh my God, Eduard Khil, the Trololo guy just died. :( I wasn't really a big fun but he was a part of internet culture.
Sorry, I'm not really in-the-know when it comes to the whole fan-game/hacking scene. Wasn't really sure what was what.

Well yeah... I joined the BBS (the current iteration of the BBS, not the first dead one) when it first started up in 2009, so yeah I'm pretty sure the BBS wasn't around then. Or maybe you're referring to the first one, but that one's looong dead, spawned out of an attempt at making a fanzine I believe. They're doing it again, as far as I know, so there's that. Also, was it PE2K mayhaps? I know this because people keep talking about it nostalgically. Not fondly. Nostalgically. Didn't know Jax moderated there though. That's new to me.
Anyway yeah, when you said old, my mind didn't directly register the time frame of reference. I said the BBS because two days from now is the first year since we moved our convo away from there. I've only been on exceedingly rarely these days.

    Yay, I win! Justice! xD
Anyway, good luck with the Rabbit Hole thing! Should finish sometime on Sunday today amirite?
I tried playing a fan game exactly once. It was Pokemon Naranja and I never got past the first town because it was weird and I think it was in broken English IIRC. *shrug*
Maybe I should give fangames another go.
Sensationalism, dude. It's petty sensationalism to revitalize a mostly stale game. They broke the formula by doing a direct sequel, but that's not really much of an innovation imo.
Yeah, I know I didn't get that part either. :/
I didn't spoil anything though. I think. xD

The disjointed bit was yeah, but I kind of handwaved that because, hey, animated trailer. The soundtrack I kind of enjoyed. And the voice actors, I have to agree with you. It annoyed me to hell. The biggest reason as to why I don't watch much anime these days (much), is because voices and acting cliches in anime irk me to no end because everything's so similar. The bit with the girl handing over the Pokemon (her voice especially) and the bit with the kid with the tie were what annoyed me the most. Beyond that though, I'm pretty okay with them actually spending money to animate this. That is pretty awesome if not a bit disappointing when you compare it to the actual game.
I was going to say something but... actually no it's coming back to me now while I'm writing this.

So apparently Black and White 2 came out with a trailer but it's actually properly animated this time instead of just being spliced game footage and or pictures. It's pretty awesome (and Team Plasma don't look completely stupid this time), if only to make up for what I can only assume will be an un-innovative game (though I have yet to judge it).
    *Bows*
    :P

Well yeah, but Australia is an Oceanic nation and Australia's in the coalition, superbloc, or axis of evil. xD
Holy ****, how have I not heard of Risk Legacy! <3
That sounds awesome! I used to love playing Risk, but we never finished games because they took so damn long.
I was going to go into politics anyway, but yeah awesome. xD
I was actually going to take over my own country, get all the Arabic countries to join me, and start an oil crisis where we just stop the USA from getting any oil at all. Then, we join together, and create a superbloc of Middle-East, Far-East, and Oceanic Nations. By this time, China and Japan will have to bow down to our might because of the oil thingy.
And then we go on to the world playground bit. >:D
I want to command my army against a horde of zombie creatures while I watch from the earthly Halo that we'd have built by then. Imagine having lasers that could fire from the sky at any part of the earth at any time. Yeah... =D
Funfact: Squatting is also the best way to take a dump. /themoreyouknow

You have such a free life. <3
I just had an existential moment the other day when I realised that everything I want to do with my life I might not be able to do in this lifetime, and I'm feeling mildly depressed by that, among other things. I guess my main goal still stands --to be recognized, but I have so little time. By the time I get to work (27 years, idk?), there won't be any long holidays known as 'summer', and that depresses me.
I'm sure somebody from my extended family was a Silat Master, silat being the martial art of Malaysia/Indonesia. He was on National Geographic. =D
I think he was my cousin's husband's father, IIRC.
Maaan, I cannot imagine the pain of labour. Whether it's on the same level as being kicked in the nuts I shall never know or want to know.

That sounds like the bastard child of Spongebob and Toad (Mario). xD
xD I think every man has at one point wanted to smash something in half and use it to smash other things in half. It's like a primal instinct or something, I'm sure. Kill an animal then use its bones to kill other animals. =D
Your grandma should be a shaolin monk, except not a monk. Someone that teaches people new and creative ways to smash heads.

Have fun, bro! I'll be here. Staring reproachfully at a textbook. Wishing I was a sponge.
