Well, MOTHER 3 DID kind of finish with a solid ending. Sort of. xDD;;
I liked it as much, nonetheless. Have you seen the M4 project?

It's a shame that there isn't going to be a MOTHER 4, especially since it ended with another "The End..?"

That would be pretty cool.

It was just painful playing it, really. In an emotional way. Especially the parts where Lucas hesitates to fight. Not to mention that scene that comes right after it makes the effect so much worse. Though, it did wrap up the game really nicely, and left you with a good, but sentimental feeling at the end.

I can understand why. It was brilliantly made, and the story did get depressing at times.
I liked MOTHER 2 quite a bit, as well, though. xD;
Man, that final boss(M3). It was just painful to keep playing.
