  • Duskull is adorable, I don't care what anyone says! :) I don't think I have a least favorite gen III Pokemon really.

You should check out the Battle Center. :) I'm not really that good with EV training either, but I know how to do it. It just takes a while and I'm slow with calculating the EVs cause I'm not good at math haha. RNG abuse helps you get the nature you want, gender, shininess, IVs, basically whatever you want. There is a thread about it in Trade Corner. If you'd ever like to learn, I could help you, though you would probably get better help in the trade corner irc chat. I'm a bit rusty. :P

Ah, I see. Well there are some really great traders in Trade Corner. I've always had two DSes luckily, and before I did, my sister had one so I'd just borrow hers. I guess I'm lucky. XD

I have the original. Got it in January. :) Menu stuff is nice. I sometimes just scroll around the menu just to look at everything haha. If you're an aesthetic person like me, then it'll be eye appealing, so nothing to worry about. It doesn't look like the Wii's, but it's organized and similar in a way. That new PMD looks pretty nice yeah! I'm not totally into spin offs though, so idk if I'll get it yet. I do enjoy PMD though. Once I get started on PMD though, I get into a huge PMD kick. lol

    Yep! :D
Ohhh I remember that commercial! I thought it was sooo awesome, cause I was totally wanting to dress up as an Umbreon. :) I remember the DPPt commercials as well. And HGSS. NOT MY CHIKORITA!!

Yeah, you just exploit the RNG in the game. It's not cheating though, despite what some people think. It's actually pretty fun to do! I haven't done it in a while, though. I moved back to my mom's and the WiFi doesn't work with my Lite. But I'll get the wifi password when I'm not too lazy (it's written on a sheet of paper and idk where it is) so that I can use my 3DS to trade and stuff again. I haven't been active in my trade shop in months. :( I don't wifi battle though, but I'd like to think I have a good knowledge about it. I EV sometimes, but it's rare, and recently (as in...December last year lol) I EV'd a team to battle a friend. And the Whismur got deleted when I restarted Ruby haha. I didn't know the value of a shiny. :( But a few months ago, I RNG'd a shiny Whismur so...it's like getting back the one I had? lol

I would if I had my wifi password! :( What you could do is ask in the quick trade thread. There will be plenty of nice traders that will be willing to help. :) Or if you would rather not do that, try going into the trade corner chat (there's an announcement in there with a link to it) and asking someone in there. Most of the reputable traders are in there, if you'd rather someone more trustworthy help you get them transferred over.

I have a blue 3DS! I only have one game for it though, so I can't give a full opinion really, but I will say I do love it. The colors are all pretty and the joystick is surprisingly nice to use. The 3D effects are pretty nice (I only have Ocarina of Time btw) and I'd really recommend it to anyone haha. If you're into Nintendo or handhelds in general, it's a must have. I'm a huuuge Nintendo junkie, so as soon as I was able to buy one, I did so! :)
Aww, that sucks. It usually happened to me with friends, not family. I don't really have many friends nowadays though, so eh.
I saved up when I was 10 and got my dad to take me to KB Toys and I bought it there. "And dad did you know? Porchic is the one I'm gonna start with!" Porchic...not Torchic. lol I was going by the names I heard in the commercial. Remember the RS commercial? Random people yelling random gen III Pokemon names. I had them written down in my notebook. I was so excited and apparently didn't know about looking them up online haha.

I would trade you a copy if that did happen. XD I'm always prepared too. I don't like using Repels just because I could be missing out on a possible shiny. And yeah, I've caught every random shiny I've found (which is about 5 ot 6?) though once I think I killed a shiny Lillipup, but I'm not totally sure. So...idk I don't count it. I can RNG abuse though, so if I did kill a shiny by accident, I'd just RNG a better one. :P Ponyta is an awesome shiny though! I have one from a friend. :) And my first was a Whismur in Ruby...I thought it was diseased, so I caught it to make it feel better. XD

Yeah, I feel obligated to play my games. I have a really bad guilty conscious. I can feel guilty over the dumbest things.

It's fine! I'm not timing your replies or anything, lol.
I've never really had a family member that gave me the shaft in favor of my sister, and vice versa haha. And yeah, I remember the day FireRed came out, my dad took me to Circuit City (lol...) so that I could buy it. :) I believe it was 7th grade...then Emerald the following year and my friends were like "WHY ARE YOU SO OBSESSED WITH IT" lol

omg at least it wasn't shiny, cause if I caught a shiny one then dropped the game and messed it up, I would have cried haha. Then again, I have that event shiny Rayquaza so it wouldn't be a huge loss but still!

Nice. :) I have no homework or anything tonight, so I think I'll...play a random game that I'm doing a challenge on, just to progress. I hate when I get behind on challenges. Makes me feel lazy, especially since that's one of the forums I mod. ~_~ I feel compelled to finish more challenges because of it, I guess haha.
I have Desmume cause I was playing Platinum on it for a while, and also played Black when the ROMs first leaked. I was really impatient, haha. I had a problem with it saving though. I got No$gba to play Platinum. I mainly did that cause at the time, my Platinum was for storing Pokemon and I missed the Storage Key event for Rotom forms and wanted to use them in-game.

I was really into them at the time, but now I can't stand them and think they are not good remakes. And ahhhh I remember saving money to buy Emerald. I was sick on release day, so I gave my mom my money for her to go to Walmart to get it for me and then I played all day. (:

Yeah, BW is really good, though I restarted them so many times (yes, already) and I'm a bit burnt out on them. I have an event planned for next month though, and I plan on using White for it though. I haven't played BW in a few months now, so I'm actually looking forward to going through it again, but bleh I'll also be playing B2W2 so...I'm gonna hate Unova by the time October is over. XD And college is pretty fun. What takes up most of my time is band practice. If I didn't have that, I'd still have plenty of time for games and my homework. And yeah, RSE was just great. I have soooo many memories with it. Strange memories though, haha. Like, the way I read certain things in the game with dialect...idk. It's hard to explain and just weird.
Yeah. I do have a VBA on my PC and Pokemon ROMs and I'm not opposed to playing them, but I still find it better to use my real game haha. I only got a VBA to play Mother 3 though, since the only way you can play it outside Japan is to use an emulator.

Yessss. :) More of just RSE than FRLG though haha. I really dislike the latter two games. Emerald is my favorite game. :) And lol, I'm trying to at least finish one of these challenges before B2W2 is out. But there's so much stuff to do before then and even when October 7th gets here, I've still got school and such to do. v_v I'm always so busy during fall semester. I don't have a lot of free time. And yeah, gen I is kind bleh for me, though Yellow was still my first game and the music in RBY is some of the best, so I still have a soft spot for it. Though I can't stand the "hurr gen I is da bes" people.
Yeah, I usually just try to make teams out of Pokemon that I like or haven't used yet and want to try out. And I use cartridges. I'm not a big emulator person. I like to actually have the games I play and play them the way they're meant to be played. Just works better for me.

Same here! See, I got Yellow first, but lost it. Never even got past Brock. And my gen II was Pokemon Stadium 2, instead of GSC. My first real game that I actually progressed in was Sapphire, so that's why I'm so fond of RSE. Gen II and V tie for second though. I don't really hate any generation though, but I do hate Diamond and Pearl. They're just unplayable because of that slow speed. But I love Platinum. And I've always been a console gamer, haha. And if you ever have the time, you should definitely try a challenge. :) They're pretty fun, and most challengers use emulators for their challenges so that they go along quicker. I guess I'm crazy for using my actual games for every challenge I do, haha. I've only used an emulator for one challenge, and even then, I did the same challenge on another game as well, but not on the emulator.
Same here. I have a Bayleef on my SoulSilver right now though. I'm doing a challenge that revolves around gender, and I picked to do the challenge as a female, so I went with the most feminine starter haha. And yeah, I usually have someone that's mixed or more physically oriented, though it's usually a Normal type. They're so versatile so it works well. :)

I've been into Pokemon since it came to the US and into gaming...for probably all my life, haha. I've been playing SNES and watching people play games since I was a baby. Some of my early memories involve Super Mario Bros actually. :P Right now, I'm playing SouSilver, Platinum, Ruby, and...I think Emerald? All of those except Platinum are for challenges haha. It's a bit excessive, I know. What about you?
Cyndaquil is a good way to go. :) And hmm...I almost never go for Fighting types. I like more special attack oriented Pokemon I guess haha. Earliest Fighting type you can get is probably Machop though, which ain't too bad.
Oh that's nice! Do you have a team planned or anything? And yeah, I imagine that sun gets in his eyes a lot, especially in WW when you're like...sailing straight into it haha.
Hi there, nice to meet you. I'm good what about yourself?

I see you've been posting quite a bit around Fourth Gen, hope you'll stick around! :D
I'm doing well! About to play some SoulSilver. How are you, Wind Waker Link with sunglasses? lol
    Yes, I'm the same Hikari.

And for bonus points, I wonder if you can recall what my avatar was back then.
