  • i agree w/ u about d/p they werent my faves. i rly liked G/S/C they were good. lol dont take this the wrong way but its kinda odd to see a person of ur age on a pokemon forum
No worries. I didn't think we were fighting though, just each expressing a different point of view. If everyone agreed with everyone else it would be a really boring place to live! heh
hey listen i understand what your saying about the move set. but i just rly dont agree with you and i dont want to fight with you ok =]
Yes, I am really 36. My oldest two sons (now 19 and 14) began liking Pokemon when RBY came out. I saw the cartoon a few times back then (which gave me a bad impression of the game) and didn't like Pokemon, but I humored them and got them their own game. Then one day my younger son asked for help, so I did, begrudgingly. That is when I found out just how great the game really was. For me it has always been the strategic aspects and definitely not the continually lame in-game storyline or the weak AI.

Years passed and we lost interest and picked up Yugioh for a while. Then when the youngest boy was old enough to know about Pokemon, he found our old cartridges and wanted to play them. Needless to say we all got hooked again. This was the time when FRLG came out. So I got all four of us used GBA and each our own games. Between us we have all the Advanced Gen games.

None of like DPP though so once again we got away from it until just recently. We are now having a challenge of beating Emerald with 3 starters from the 3 different regions. We aren't cheating or anything, we just transfer the Pokemon to Colesseum and then you can transfer them to Emerald. Not quite legit, but at least our games are not at risk with a cheating device. I am currently breeding my three starters - Mudkip, Venusuar, and the craptastic Cyndaquil.
My storyline takes the character through the other regions (except the 4th Gen region since I don't care for DPP at all) , tracking down Mewtwo. You get help from Mew along the way too. It is a little project of mine that I will probably write a story about, maybe pitch it to Game Freak some day.

Thanks for sharing. I like your idea as well.
    Wow.

This would trigger a whole new sequence of events that centered around tracking down Mewtwo and ultimately preventing the new Legendary from destroying the entire region in its unwavering quest for revenge.

That was your work??? Holy shnaps. The part about chasing down Mewtwo is actually part of my hack's storyline! Well, mine ends up catching mewtwo for Blaine, who gives it to you after you get into the Yearly Champions Tournament. :D

And you know what? You're the only person that I've told. x.x
Actually, I have a patent on this storyline pending. Heh. To be honest, the reason I dislike DPP so much is because GF went for the easy dollar, knowing that all kids would buy the stupid game anyway. I was hoping for so much more on a DS platform. Oh well, when a company is disconnected from the fanbase, that is what happens.

I think creating a game with a REAL Pokemon storyline would be amazing. Pokemon just has so much untapped potential. GF just doesn't understand how many fans they have that have been with them from the beginning, are not 6 anymore, and want a product that will be fun and challenging for THEM.

I have actually written a few Pokemon stories. One was actually my middle son as the main character in Emerald. Been thinking about updated it a little bit, but have little free time these days. Maybe I should start posting chapters here.
There would also be ONE Legendary that you could catch in-game. It would be a Dark/Psychic-type, and as the story unfolds you would discover this legendary is actually an early version of Mewtwo that was discarded and thought to have been destroyed. Turns out that it survived and is seeking revenge on its creators and more importantly a confrontation with Mewtwo. Its stats would be similar to Mewtwo, but its SAtk and Atk would be reversed. The only way you could catch this Pokemon is if you imported Mewtwo into the game. Once imported, a cut scene would occur that would show Mewtwo escaping from your PokeBall, confronting you, attacking you with a Psychic attack, and then using Teleport. This would trigger a whole new sequence of events that centered around tracking down Mewtwo and ultimately preventing the new Legendary from destroying the entire region in its unwavering quest for revenge.
This is your handywork, am I right......
If I were a jerk, I would steal this idea and make a game out of it......... WAIT!!!! Brilliant moment!!!!!! shanecdavis, I had a Idea for a pokemon game, but it lacked many things, storyline was one of them. If you and I team up for the better of the world, we could create a awsome pokemon game, I will do all the boring stuff in RPG Maker XP, well, how does going into partnership with me sound.....
