Hi! I'm happy to hear you're using my ROM as a base for another hack. If you're making a Yellow remake, chances are you're not intending to use the wild Pokémon location changes I made to the game. If you want, you can make a patch that removes the Catch 'em All features of the game, including the changed title screen. To do that,
1) Back up your clean FireRed ROM.
2) Apply the Catch 'em All patch to one of the clean ROMs.
3) Use Lunar IPS or another program that lets you make patches to create a removal patch. Do this by making the ROM patched with the Catch 'em All features the original ROM and the clean ROM the modified ROM.
4) Apply this new patch to a ROM with the Throwback patch, presumably your Yellow hack based on it.
BTW, I'm actually planning on releasing another update before Christmas. There'll be a lot of changes for the better in it, especially compared to the last few ones I've done. If you want to wait until that's released, you can use that for a better base!
Sorry I misunderstood which flag you're looking for - I've had a poke around, and it seems 844 still plays a role, but it's unclear. The level scripts check for that and move the blockade NPC in place, but the map doesn't reveal how to move her back other than simply clearing the flag again.
Unless my ROM has been altered / is missing something in the bottom section of the script:
special2 LASTRESULT 0x193
compare LASTRESULT 0x1
if 0x1 call 0x816EA79
Hi. You can change the function of items in many item editors. I use the one in PGE. This does not affect the item usage of trainers, which has to be turned off through a trainer editor on every trainer that is holding items. Thus, you can restrict the user from items while letting opposing trainers use them if you want to.
Um i didn't lol. What you saw is like the default item >.>
If you look at the prevo's evolution tab there should be a large box under "Evolutions: which show how the prevo evolves and what items it uses to evolve (if any). Note that you can only see the evos when you look at the prevos evolution table thingy (you're using G3T right?)
In fact, i don't think i changed any of the evo's to sun stone O.o
If you still haven't figured out how to set an evo then message me again and i'll explain it again in more detail (though i hope i don't have to >.>)
Err.. Item evos are really easy, in either YAPE or G3T you can actually just set the evolution method to whatever you want. In YAPE just go to the evolutions tab and set what kind if evo you want for the pokemon and what pokemon you want it to evolve into. I'm sure you can do it if you just read whats written there. ITS THAT EASY.
I personally used G3T to do it and you can edit the evolutions there in the pokemon editor.
