  • Ah, I remember the days when I was active in the trading scene... sadly I've since lost the ability to get on wi-fi...

Yeah, that's always fun to totally destroy your foes :) I've kinda gotten used to how it works but I still prefer the way it was in the older games.

Yeah, either that or just letting us design our own character, letting us choose fromm a choice of clothes, hair styles, and such. I'd so totally make mine a really cute one who wears a dress with lots of fancy lace and ribbons xD On that topic, have you seen pictures of my own created trainer character, Lisa? I'd want my game character to wear something like she does.

Except for one nasty one, yeah. They're nothing fancy, just clean, fairly nice places to stay without getting too expensive... we've used them for over a decade now. Cool, I'll give that series a look, then... I'm actually very much into the high school romance/drama series, or magical girl series. Though lately I've also discovered I like watching anime series with girls who have fast cars and guns, lol

I would like a cat, though... they're so cute and fluffy xD Actually, Persian happens to be my favorite Pokemon, so...

Well, I did end up going to college 900 miles away, so it was a case of me having no job and no place to go except back home. I do miss it because I had a great time hanging out with everyone, especially from the three college ministries I was a part of. I met some really great people there.

Things are okay for me, just a bit boring as I still don't have work... I graduated a year ago with a degree in finance, not that it's helped me, lol. Congrats on graduating :)

Actually, we live like 45 minutes away from a mall, and about an hour from the "good" mall (where I was able to go). It's rare that we get out there, but my mom had doctor's appointments in the closest major city to us, so I got to hang out there for a few hours. I did buy a couple anime DVD's and hung out at Barnes & Noble (browsed their manga but didn't see anything interesting) and used their (slow as heck) wi-fi, lol. We actually live in the middle of nowhere in a part of the country with awful weather (thus why I went so far away for college) and it's boring :/

Oh, and on the music front, I also enjoy listening to Point of Grace... they have some wonderful lyrics and some beautiful singing harmonies. I also listen to a lot of stuff from the 1980's :P

what sort of graphic design do you do?
That's crazy my mom was the same way! Hardcore christian and thought that pokemon were demons and that type thing so I had missed out for awhile as well! Small world! XD
It's the little things that annoyed me... the way your team earned experience was changed so it makes it tougher for players like me who like to be 10-15 levels ahead and completely dominate their foes :P The menu design is much worse than in Soul Silver and the previous games for a number of reasons. It got boring real quick after the main story was completed. And I didn't care for the girl trainer's design. I know the new games won't fix the experience situation, but they already have a better looking female trainer and I'm holding out hope they fix that menu and add more post-game stuff too.

My favorite trainer character was the girl from Leaf Green, BTW... most everyone who knows me well is also well aware of that :P

One of them's in my signature. Really big older luxury cars that get really bad gas mileage :) I'm also quite the fan of anime. And the Quality Inn hotel chain, but my interest in that is a tough one for me to really explain, lol. I've written a couple Pokemon stories before starring my own trainer character, but I've moved on from that.

I'm actually... not a dog person lol. I'm actually allergic to most any animals, but I seem to especially get along badly with dogs - they always seem to come after me or bark right in my face. I prefer cats anyway (or I would if I wasn't allergic). I used to be a lot more social back in college, but now that I'm back living at home there really isn't much opportunity for me to socalize much, which I really miss. I had fun times back with my college friends.

I know :) I love listening to that style of nice inspirational music. I think it really helps to improve my mood.
Pretty good, though it's quite cold and boring around my parts :P

Oh, and about the welcome thread... my favorite Pokemon games personally have been Platinum and Leaf Green, the latter being a remake of the very first games, but you'll need an original DS, DS Lite or Game Boy Advance to play it. I wasn't that impressed with Black/White, but I am looking forward to the sequel games coming out. The two games I mentioned would be a good way to pass the time till the next Pokemon games, but you might also want to check out Black or White to get used to the new region and play mechanics.

So, what kinds of things are you interested in besides Pokemon?
I've been playing for awhile! I have white, platinum, pearl, soul silver, leaf green, gale of darkness, pokemon battle revolution, pokemon ranch, and pokemon rumble so I think I'm pretty experienced :D what about you?
