LOL! But yeah, it makes sense, though. The Gym-dependent-on-Starter idea is good because it's a twist from the notion of Rock-Gyms-are-first from past regions, it emulates the relationship of your rival's starter Pokemon, and it prevents the implementation of Character Selecting Forcing, so Fire-type starters can finally have a chance against the first Gym! :D Then a triple battle format for the rematch(es) is fitting because the first Gym is the only one with 3 Gym Leaders available, and rematches in past games have only been double battles. Finally, triple battles seem to be a major mechanic of BW, so a Gym Leader rematch would be the perfect time to showcase the feature! :D
